Actually I am quite happy about it, if he is not here to replace MIrallas. At least, despote his average end product, he is better than McGeady.Di Caniooooo! wrote:Lennon loaned to Everton.

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
Also, Reading signed Yakubu, wondering if he can still score at least on Championship level. Steve Clarke should be smart enough to use him properly.
Crystal Palace got Zaha on permanent deal, plus they've fot Lee on swap with Bannan. Korean winger was very good during his time in Premier League before he broke his leg, not sure if he is back on this level. Plus Palace has now Bolasie, Puncheon, Lee and Zaha for winger positions, somebody won't be happy I guess,

6 and a half years at 60k a week. good defender but holy shit that's some contract for a CB at a midtable club! £20m by my maths.

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
I hear that Liverpool are targeting young Kovacic as their Gerrard replacement. I can see why, he is a super talented kid who is struggling for space in Mancio's tactical set up.
Kova is the player we bought from the money we got after selling Coutinho. And I still think it was a good deal by Inter. Kova has a higher ceiling, and such players are rare. IMO he is a better like-to-like replacement for Xavi, than Gerrard. Not saying that he is as good as either of them, he is not (yet). But he can be.
However, Inter will not sell him cheap. I would be very surprised if Inter let him go for anything less than Eur 30m.

City are willing to splash 60m on de Bruyne...
And rightly so!
Amazing player, though perhaps to delicate for the EPL.

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
The Ings hype is funny, 11 goals for an English striker and he's automatically worth a biggish fee and a place at a club chasing CL places.

I don't know how it works, there was talk of Spurs bidding for him because whatever club signs him will have to pay a large amount of compensation anyway, but I don't see why he wouldn't just let his contract run out.

He is out of contract and whoever signs him will not be paying a transfer fee. If they do, they should pay it to me because Burnely won't be seeing any of the ca$h!

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
Well Rodgers clearly hates Balotelli yet he's staying? I don't really think he has the overall say in all transfers. To be honest the whole club is a mess from top to bottom and it's been that way for a long time. Benteke really doesn't make any sense when he goes against the style Rodgers likes to play. It seems like there's a general acceptance that we are never going to get back to being a consistent top 4 team that challenges for trophies. I just can't get my head round the fact that our 'policy' since Rafa left has seemed to be to sign who ever has had a good 5 months in the Premier League. What do our scouts get paid for? They should be in Germany and South America earning their fucking money.

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
Wasn't that always the excuse when Rafa was in charge? He didn't make the bad signings? But Hodgson did.. Now Rodgers doesn't either. Weird club. Manager should grow some balls and demand final say

Re: Todays Transfer Rumours
Why the hell haven't we snapped Yevhen Konoplyanka up? His contract is up and we can get him on a free trfansfer. He was excellent against Sevilla the other night, he had the beating of the Sevilla full-back every time and in the end Sevilla had to double mark for the rest of the game. He still caused danger every time he got the ball though.
This guy is infinitely more talented than the likes of Danny Ings and Nathan Clyne.
Get him FFS.
