In about 4 different newspapers this morning. Quote from Magnusson saying Ljungberg has agreed terms and a deal will be finalised next week. I thought Freddie said he wouldn't play for another English club?

I like Ljungberg, and think he's a good player...but he's too injury prone. We'll have two good RW on the injury list.

Saying that for £3m...I hope this is true.

We also made an enquiry for Mancini and were told £24m.

It would be a bit of a surprise if he did go now. His agent said that he didn't want to play for another English club out of respect for Arsenal. Wenger also said he is 90% sure Ljungberg would be at the club for next season.

On the other hand I don't think we would turn down any decent offer for him so if he agrees to a move then I can't see the club standing in the way.

Can you find these quotes Deano? One of the papers is The People so I am not entirely convinced by this. Like Sheffield Gunner said Wenger has come out recently as well and said he is 90% sure of the player staying.

Yeah...apparently Wenger was interested in getting £3/4m for him.

Fiorentina wanted him...yet wouldn't pay more than £2m. I'm pleased if this goes through.

We could match or maybe even better wages if Sven really wanted him but yes london factor could well be the issue, but then again maybe Sven didnt go for him, or he just thought West Ham look a better proposition than City...who knows.

At 30 he still has a lot to offer and i think he will be a great buy.

Is a very good midfield, if they had kept Benayoun it would have been a fantastic. I wonder if West Ham will go for a creative CM to replace him?

Ljungberg isn't actually much crack these days is he? He hasn't done anything for a couple of seasons now and is pretty much past it, plus he's on something like 70k a week wages at Arsenal isn't he. He's not worth it IMO.

My thoughts exactly add to that the fact there isn't much creativity in your team anyway which is what he tends to thrive on.

West Ham have completed the signing of Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg, BBC Sport understands.

The Hammers will unveil the 30-year-old Sweden international at a press conference at 1400 BST.

Ljungberg, who was also a target for Fiorentina, joined the Gunners in a £3m deal from Halmstads in 1998 and scored 72 goals in 325 games for the club.

He had two years left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium but Gunners boss Arsene Wenger decided to sell him.

Ljungberg, who was Arsenal's longest serving player, struggled with injury last season and played just 26 games.
