Penalty for Milan. Kaka sends the goalkeeper the wrong way and scores. A very soft penalty though.

Milan still being held at home to Catania....wow they are in the $h!t. They will be in the bottom half of the table and 7 points behind Inter unless they can score.

Re: Serie A - The 2007-08 season thread
Do any Italian sides have any conviction to win this season's title?
I backed Milan at the start of the season, but this was a very average display against a Catania side they should have beat convincingly. From what I have seen at least, Inter topping the table tells its own story, they are a shade of last season's side.

I thought the refereeing was appalling in this match. He was right bto disallow the Milan goal as Kaladze handled it. Well spotted, but he seemed to book everyone in sight. Should never have given a penalty against Edusei as there was no intent. Even gave a freekick against Spinesi for being fouled. Almost completely ruined the match. Vargas was immense Puro. Martinez looked good and I thought Carania deserved bat least a point, possibly all three.

Kaladze is a dirty cheat. He done that against Samp in the last minute last season and we drew 1-1 because of it. Now he's tried it again. Should be banned.

Some great goals by Fiorentina. Serie A always throws up at least 2 or 3, if not more, 'golazos' every weekend.

For sure, the penalty should never have been given. For me, Milan hardly pushed them into the final minutes, which was very disappointing.

Milan look like inching themselves away from the title race already. But the Viola look in top shape. I must say a splendid result for Inter getting a win against their title challengers.
Hoping that Juve capitalises on this opportunity. C'mon tinkerman...
