I know a lot disagree on here, but I think Milan really needed to inject some new blood into the team this season, but once again it was a largely inactive transfer window. For me Emerson was a pointless buy, who in no way improves the first team, and neither is he the sort of player that will bring some hunger, energy and creativity to the side - something Milan lack.

Far too reliant on Kaka IMO, and this team doesn't look like one that can compete over an entire season.

Come on Calidad, don't you know, youth is overrated. Every team needs to buy experienced players, not young blood with freshness and desire.

Milan don't lack creativity they just seem to lack a top class striker. Gila looks a shadow of the player he once was. Pippo is at the end of the day, just a poacher.

Pato should address that in January though and the return of Ronaldo can't come soon enough.

Also worth mentioning that Milan are in DIRE need of a class keeper. Dida is pants and Kalac is even worse!

4 more years before he qualifies to play for Milan then Whistle

Inter rule - didn't panic after the setback of the 1st game of Udinese, & Ibra's become an absolute monster ! (Zlatan >>> Kaka')

Mancini still needs to get to the last 4 of the CL to prove he can really cut it though.

Something isnt right with Serie-A this season. Honestly I had very high expectations with title battle till the very end.

Except for Ibra who seems to be on fire now, Inter have been totally average, yet find themselves at the top of the table.

Roma made a great start and now seems to be stuttering.

Juve and Fiorentina have made great starts. but I have my doubts on whether their squad can sustain the challenge for the whole year. At some point they will start dropping points.

Milan is absolutely rubbish. Tons of chances, yet no goals. Last game was even horrible. 6 games on and already they find themselves 7 points adrift.

In all it looks like it might be Inter all over again. But while last year they were impervious, this year they might just win by being average. Not a great thing IMO.

Its between Inter and Roma for me.

Fiorentina have a good young squad but rely far too much now on Mutu for their goals.

Milan will come on strong later in the season but they're throwing away and title hopes with the start they're making.

Juve have started well, but their midfield is pretty pants. They'll come unstuck at some point.

I am not sure if Roma have what it takes to challange Inter. The scary thing is that Inter havent even been playing that well and they're top of the league and have trounced their closest rivals (who were on form) 4-1 in their back yard.

Milan better hope that Ronaldo shows the form of his Inter days and that Pato lives up to the hype, as its looking like they will have forget about the league and focus just on the CL again.

Before Giuly's dismissal, it was an even game and I'm not so sure that Inter would have won it, though that chance would have been a goal and put them 2-0 up.

    Roma choke, that's their problem

It would have put them 1-0 up, it was 1-1 at halftime remember.

The red card was the turning point in the game, but even with 10 men you still shouldnt be losing 4-1 at home.

I dont think you can attribute all the problems to Roma choking, but I do think they dont have that ruthless winning mentality that seperates the champions from the rest.

    ok

    You're right.

I think Roma will be able to get points against the teams that play more expansive football. I cannot wait for Roma-Udinese Yikes

Inter haven't been playing good football, but Ibrah has been in indredible form. It may well happen that when the rest of the team starts to play well, Ibrah has a blip; not that it matters when you have Cruz, Crespo and Suazo to step into the breach though

Kaka seems made for CL football. In the league he's still a top class player but not the best. He gets outshone by Totti even!

Kaka is great in the league as well. The fact that Gilla can't score isn't his problem. Beside the 4 goals he created the goals against Palermo or Parma. Not even in bluenine's weatest dreams is Zlatan >>> Kaka. Laughing

They are very different type of players, the jury is still out on who is more effective for his team.

Why don't we swap Kaka and Figo? Figo is the right age profile for Milan, and it will be easier to compare Ibra & kaka if they play for the same team Razz
