Admittedly both came back from injury, but neville has never contributed that much towards team play. What about overlapping if he is the second fittest? what about getting to the by-line and pulling the ball back?

So if he was the second fittest, his displays are even worse as he doesn't have the fitness excuse to fall back on, which was A Cole's problem.

carragher is a centre back.. ridiculous to say he should be dropped for not performing well out of position

neville on the other hand had a poor world cup in his favoured position... he was never going to be picked.. also because half the country think he is a prick...

Neville was injured for the start of it...hardly going to play well is he?

People said Neville was getting on, hence why I said he was one of the fittiest. Simple really.

I don't understand how he could have been the second fittest before the world cup if he was injured? So I am wondering if you made that up.

No, I didn't read it, I wrote it. When people wrote in response to Lampard being dropped and not contributing a lot, that Lampard was the fittest player, or like you wrote neville was the second fittest. To me it makes their displays even worse, or there were some very weird fitness tests done by the english.
