Pompey.
Neville was still the second fittest player out of the England camp.
He may not play at the next World cup but he will still be starter in Euro 2008.
He might well be a starter but it is because of a lack of options for England.
Lampard was the fittest but what does that show? That he can run around a lot at medium pace and not produce anything?
What about in terms of contribution to the team. Carragher has a nose-bleed crossing the half-way line, Neville is a bit better but likes to get his cross in asap then run back immediately (and that is without crouch up front). He hardly got invloved in build-up play, or overlapped etc. A Cole didn't do it that much on the other side, but still more than Neville. Admittedly both came back from injury, but neville has never contributed that much towards team play. What about overlapping if he is the second fittest? what about getting to the by-line and pulling the ball back?
So if he was the second fittest, his displays are even worse as he doesn't have the fitness excuse to fall back on, which was A Cole's problem.
