I forgot the last time Manchester United lost at Anfield (I hope I don’t tempt fate) Glenn if Manchester United win, should they annex Anfield to the Republik of Mancunia?

Penalty for Spurs, a very rash and unnecessary foul from Djourou. Birmingham should have had a freekick moments before though.

It doesnt make up for all the decisions that went your way- throughout the years.
Im talking 2-3 seasons here.
no you'd better not, we're almost into double figures this season of incidents which have made up for the Chelsea penalty.
Still doesnt make up for the Catalog of favourable decisions that went your way- when u played us over the years.
Cost us a place in Europe through the league- few seasons ago - cost us a cup final - and nearly cost us a place in the European CUp final last year.... etc etc
And i cannot think of many decisions that went our way this year
Some evidence would be nice
Tiago handball - 100% pen- 1-3 points would have been enough to get us into Europe via league
carling cup final - there was a penalty incident that went unnoticed.... cant remmeber who.........
Dirk Kuyt legitimate goal that was wrongly ruled out for offside - if it wasnt for Reina and luck of pens - would have cost us a place in the final.
Im sure there are more..... I've forgotten most of them.....
but there are just as many incidents if not more that went for you. 1 penalty awarded to us in 42 games as S4P pointed out shows how generous referees are to us.

Yes that was handball but a) who's to say you would have buried the pen and b) we would have come out more attacking, had you scored.
GR-09 wrote:carling cup final - there was a penalty incident that went unnoticed.... cant remmeber who.........
Always helps. You were doing fine until your captain decided to stick the ball in the back of his own net.
GR-09 wrote:Dirk Kuyt legitimate goal that was wrongly ruled out for offside - if it wasnt for Reina and luck of pens - would have cost us a place in the final.
Kalou was put through 1 on 1 in the same match yet was incorrectly ruled offside. A great opportunity to level and leave you needing 3 goals (although knowing Kalou he may very well have missed).
GR-09 wrote:Im sure there are more..... I've forgotten most of them.....
I'm sure there are if you go back to the 90s and beyond.

I meant in the League Manchester won 1:0 at Anfield, O'Shea remember. It will be tough this season, its never easy to go to Anfield and win.

Anderson should, he's better than any of your midfielders. Rio will handle Torres, no problem but without Rooney it could be a 0-0.Luis wrote:shazlx-mas wrote:Lets see Liverpool try play like that vs Anderson and Hargreaves. I don't even think Rio will handle Torres, I think Torres is literally impossible to handle, and come off it with that Anderson comment, Gerrard's in fantastic form, I think he's scored something like 7 goals in his last 7 games or something

You still don't get what makes a good midfielder do you. Cesc has scored more goals than Hleb this season but IMO Hleb > Cesc this season ( yes I said it:! it takes more than goals.Luis wrote:shazlx-mas wrote:Anderson should, he's better than any of your midfielders. a) because they never do at anfield
b) because they aren't good enough
c) because we now have our full team or something close to it back
shall I keep going?
