We'll miss Eto'o a lot, we don't have anyone even half as good. Gudjohsen is great but not a proper striker and Saviola is pants for our team. Hopefully Ronaldinho will have a magical day...

Good man Cule. I tried in both the 04-05 and 05-06 ties to get tickets for this match. I was not about to be denied a third time

I couldn't get for the 04-05 because I wasn't here. Tried last season but didn't even get one for the home game. This season I'm going to both, although it's less exciting because it's not the knockout round.

cule, (in case you haven't noticed) I've left you a link on the "what game are you going to" thread. I guess it's probably very helpful to non-Londoners (just thought I'd let you know in case you haven't seen it )

No Champions League action in Group Afor 20 days now
International break soon too Just at a time when we've finally got the team winning again (6 wins on the trot now), with Aston Villa (Home-30/9) and Reading (Away-14/10) before Barcelona.
From our point of view, I think now would be the perfect time for us to play Barca and Bremen (Barca having drawn their last 2 games. Surely by the time they come to play us they will have a couple of 5-1, 4-0 etc victories under their belts), and Bremen will be back to winning ways too.
It's going to be very interesting to see how this group unfolds over the 4 matchdays remaining. I think that as long as we get 3 points from our double header v Barca (preferably 4 or 6, but 3 would be great), we should be in an extremely strong position to qualify.

Well, what to say after last night perfomance?
Good Chelsea side, and as i saw they didnt tried too much to push the game, they played as much as they needed to win. Levski is a good side, no doubts about that, some good individual performances, but they lack team spirit and CL quality. That was obvious. It was interesting about the goals that Drogba scored, God, he reminded me so much on Inzaghi last night.
But he was the best man on the pitch. As for some of your players, hmm, they better dont make the same mistakes with Barca or with Werder away. Bridge and Ferreira are poor, and Sheva and Ballack, no words for them though.
The atmospehere was quite good, and my brother somehow managed to enter into the Chelsea crowd, and as he told me, great mood among them, especially after the first goal.
But i was anxious until the last minutes until i saw the result in Bremen. God, we saved our ass there.

To be honest TITO, I thought we would struggle more than we did in this match. After the first 10 minutes (where I would say Levski were on top), we then started to create quite a few chances, something we haven't been doing of late.
Fair play to Levski though. Once the 3rd goal went in, I thought maybe they'd fold and we'd go on to win 4 or 5-0. But they came back at us and in the last 10 minutes played really well again (I think they had about 6 shots on target in the last 5 minutes).
My only concern at this moment in time is if the group is decided on goal difference. I recognise that we could quite easily have conceded more against Bremen (the Klose header that hit the bar) and Levski (when Cech was forced to make a triple save), but I just feel that we should've scored more goals so far (Drogba had 2 great chances v Bremen where he should've tested the keeper and Drogba and Ballack should've scored v Levski as well as Robben not being so greedy with the shot) That's 5 great chances that might end up costing us (position wise) in this group.

Was playing in the pub with Chelsea in FIFA '07 and lost all 3 games. With Livorno I drew 2 and lost 1.

I was only joking. The year Liverpool won the CL I watched most the games and was excited in games like the one against Olympiakos, when you beat Chelsea I was singing You'll Never Walk Alone and in the final cheering for your club.
And all this from a person that doesn't like Liverpool (or dislike).

Good man. I was glad to see Barca won last season - as much fun as it is to bug you about it, it's criminal that a club the size of Barca only had 1 European Cup.
Also, it was a choice between you and the Diva's in the final

Indeed!
Next Wednesday I'll make sure we sing a "You'll Never Walk Alone" for Celtic and Liverpool in Trafalgar Square.
Now I've revealed to Rosy where I will be, hopefully she won't know who I am and I won't die that night.
