A match like this deserves it's own thread, it's quickly becoming one of the European classics.

The barca fan and the real record currently stands at
2-1-1 to Barca, we have taken 7 points from the 4 games while chelsea has only taken 4 Points.

No, I think the average Chelsea fan looks at it this way:
2-0 Sendings off (100 minutes overall)
Barcelona 0-1 Chelsea
Chelsea 4-2 Barcelona
Chelsea 0-0 Barcelona
Barcelona 1-1 Chelsea
during the time of 11 v 11
Giving Chelsea 8 points, and Barcelona 2

if Bremen and Barça end up on same nº of points, is it not the result between the two teams the deciding factor?

I just thought about it and it's clear we have to win away in Barcelona whatever happens, which is of course an almost impossible mission for us. But even if Barca would win the next two matches while we on the other side win away in Sofia but lose against you guys at home, we would still only have 3 point less than Barca before the last match. So if we would win in Barcelona then, which is a must anyway, we and Barca both have 10 points and Barca would be out then because we have won the "direct comparison". Or is it the goal difference which counts when two teams have same amount of points in the end?S4P wrote:chrissicross wrote:A Barca win would have been better for us last night. It's tough. I have a sneaky feeling that if we beat Barca in the Camp Nou, and therefore have qualified from the group, we may field a weaker side against you, if anything to help you guys get through the group and knock out Barca in the early stages. I'm sure that you're more than capable of beating us with our best 11 at home (our away record isn't impressive), but I just think Mourinho will do everything possible to try and make sure Barca don't qualify for the next round.
As I said above it's very unlikely to win for us away in Barcelona, but I think we have a chance, because with Mertesacker our defence is much better this year. He and Naldo fit together perfectly. Of course we can't allow any injuries...S4P wrote:What do you think about your chances in Barcelona
