Seen their Uefa cup match midweek? Nothing there indicates to me they will be able to handle Man City and not concede at least 1 I'm going for 2.

It's a funny old game, Newcastle looked hopeless against us and Pompey then got a draw against Arsenal

Arsenal rarely play well at SJP or anywhere in the north for that matter. And of course they are missing key players.

I'd put down 10 bucks on that. Unlikely (hope I don't jinx it) but the rewards are worth it.

The only team who I've earned money from with big odds (apart from West Ham) is Dunfermline.

They were 9/1 and 11/1 to beat Rangers. Rangers ALWAYS struggle against Dunfermline, so I was surprised they had those odds. I had a fiver on it both times. Derby will be about 5/1 to keep it to 2 or less conceded.

If i saw someone betting on a Derby win i would attack them for their utter lunacy. Just throwing money away, maybe 1 in 100 attempts they could get a draw. They are the worst prem side ever.

I think it was more to do with the tactics in this game (and Gilberto playing instead of Denilson). Most importantly Fat Sam removed Smith from midfield and put him upfront. They also played a higher line knowing that we only had one player (Rosicky) who would make a through ball. Also they successfully deployed the rotational fouling policy Whistle .

    Yes it is.

We need to keep the momentum and pressure on Arsenal - and stay in the title race

The other top 3 will probably win their games- so its vital that we do as well.

If we draw we could still win the league, if we draw to Marseille we'll be playing FC zognich in some shite country on a thursday night.

Closing the gap on Arsenal is proving difficult as it is - what makes you think we can win the league by dropping even more points at Reading?

Marseille is only a bigger game if you look at it from a financial perspective..... nothing more.

League remains our number one priority so Rafa should play his strongest team.

I don't think that was a factor, it was neutralized by Arsenals 'fold when touched' tactic. ok

Bollocks. For a club of Liverpool's stature, and where the owners want it to be, not making the knockout stage is a huge blow.

It would be a huge blow- more so because of the money involved - but it wont be the end of the world.

We've toyed with teams in Europe over the last few seasons- so we've got nothing to prove Ale

The same cannot be said in the league though.

League remains our number one priority - FACT - if thats bollocks then so be it.

I'll only be worried if we have no European football to play for after Tuesday - then that will be an embarassment

Thanks. I was watching some Arsenal DVD's from the 2001/2002 and 2003/2004 season the other day and I was just reminded by some of his brilliance.
