When was the last time Milan lost a KO game whilist playing the 2nd leg at the San Siro?

I do believe we haven't lost against an Italian team under Arsene Wenger. <Ale>

What will go down is this. Milan will score 2 goals in the opening 11 minutes

Inazghi will the goals or if he does not play it will be Kaka

Before halftime, Gallas will equalise from a corner and then Adebayor will make it 2:2

HT: Milan 2:2 Arsenal and into the second half not much happens until 13 minutes before fulltime, Adebayor breaks into the box pulled down by Kalac but the referee plays advantage and Van Persie scores and wins the game for Arsenal: FT Milan 2:3 Arsenal

Just got back. A little disappointed to be honest. Milan were there for the taking. I thought Wenger picked the right team but got the tactics wrong in the first half. We were too narrow and needed two up front to pressure the Milan defence. Unfortunately nothing quite clicked tonight. Passes were slightly overhit or the wrong option was taken at the wrong time. Irritated by Eboue again, very wasteful and diving again. Walcott should have come on earlier, we needed to stretch play across the pitch and try to create more space in the Milan defence. Not the worst result although we should have gone away with a lead. I thought Flamini was superb, excellent energy levels as always. He didn't give Milan any time in midfield. Hopefully Toure isn't out for too long, that will be a big blow if he faces a lengthy absence. Milan did a good defensive job, very professional in all aspects of the game as you would expect.

edit: Sky are saying Toure is out for a month. Sad

I think eboue's cuntiness is affecting people's judgement on him . There's no way he was poor tonight. He created a very good chance in the 1st half when he skinned maldini and was invloved in most of our promising situations( which later didn't result to clear cut chances). He also intercepted some passes and i don't think milan troubled us from the right.

Fortunately for me, Milan are far too experienced and streetwise to let that happen. If they get a 2 goal lead, It's over.

Milan's home form has been Cr@p this season. They might turn up for a decisive CL tie though..we'll see.

As i said earlier i am just disappointed we didn't put one of our chances away but 0-0 at home in the CL is actually not a bad result. I remember the madrid - man u encounter some seasons ago. Madrid drew 0-0 at home but destroyed manu away. Not saying we'll do the same but we can go to the san siro and get a 1-1 draw.

you could, i remember Lyon nearly did it a couple of seasons back when Milan really didnt turn up, but Sheva and Inzaghi saved them at the end.

Just back from the game. Fantastic atmosphere tonight, and really enjoyed it.

Arsenal were very good, but not great. I've never really seen Milan get dominated like that for large periods of the games before. That said, Lehmann probably had to make the two hardest saves of the game, as Arsenal were wasteful and inefficent. Fabregas played very well, and whilst Arsenal were never at their blistering best, some of their play and movement was great.

As for Milan, they put in a hardworking, professional performance. Nesta is just fantastic. I'm a huge fan of Adebayor, but Nesta gave him nothing all game. Definitely the best CB in the world for me. And as good as the all of the other Milan defenders/defending on the night were/was, there was a noticeable difference when he came off.

Kaka & Seedorf were well marshalled, and kudos to Flamini for that. Though Kaka's movement and class is a joy to watch, even when he's not at his best. He is a class above. Pirlo was disappointing, and Arsenal's midfield never allowed him time to settle.

As for Pato, I throughly impressed with his performance. He worked hard, ran the flanks, and showed great maturity. He held the ball up well (did he ever lose it?), and was a constant menance to the Arsenal backline. Was amazed that an 18 year old was so professional and composed on his CL debut. Was disappointed that he was booed off though, when he was obviously injured. My mate said likewise.

Also enjoyed the game tonight --> went down there an managed to get a return from the box office an hour before kick-off for £20 (FE).

TBH though, 0-0 is the worst of the satisfactory 1st leg results when you're playing at home. We have to hope we can do what we did last time in the San Siro

I think the tie is obviously pretty open, though perhaps I'd make Milan slight favourites. Though needless to say, crucially Arsenal didn't concede, and of course Milan will have to raise their game significantly at the San Siro to progress.

Glad you enjoyed the game ok

On his game he is arguably the best defender in the game, i think Adebayor is possibly one of the harder opponents for any defender because of his physique and technical quality, exactly the type of player that will test him on a variety of defensive situations.

He would make any defence in the world... surely?

I agree, but at the same time Adebayor has never scored in europe, and has looked poor in the cl so far, and today he missed an open flippin goal.

I agree, but at the same time Adebayor has never scored in europe, and has looked poor in the cl so far, and today he missed an open flippin goal.

That's a fair comment, and i'd probably make the assumption this is question of mentality.

It would be interesting to see him up against Drogba for example who you'd probably expect to turn up on a European night.
