I think you are certainly right about the movement. With us the good moves that we make are often because of Alonso/Guti forcing it rather then the players moving well for each other.kas wrote:Jaime wrote:Özil wrote:thats real madrids problem, they dont have goalscoring threat in midfield, thats why they suck
No the problem is that our midfield can't pass the ball.
No, the problem is nobody in your attack runs to make space in which they can receive the ball. They stand around waiting for it to come to feet, then try to run past their man. And only someone with exceptional vision like Guti can make passes when nobody is in space. If your attackers ran around a bit more, then you wouldn't need Cesc or Silva and could do just fine with Lass alongside Xabi Alonso.
My vote goes to Cardozo-Saviola...Ronaldo-Higuain have the numbers but Super Madrid's point about their lack of chemistry is spot on.
Talking about strikerpartnerships seems a bit outdated since very few teams actually play with two strikers anymore. And even fewer do it well. Rather we now have attacking groups that have to function together and interchange. For Real Madrid that would be VDV-Marcelo-Ronaldo-Higuain. Manchester United last year with Ronaldo-Tevez-Rooney.
The only top team that plays with two strikers is Inter(Milito-Eto) but even they have found it difficult, especially in Europe, so Eto now plays as a faux winger. Likewise with Chelsea and Drogba-Anelka. Only Liverpool have really profited from moving towards two strikers and I doubt they will persist with that.
