Anti-Germanness rears its ugly head in the EPL once again Empty Anti-Germanness rears its ugly head in the EPL once again

I was watching Match of the Day last night,

and I was DISGUSTED to see the anti German fans in England ONCE AGAIN proving the paranoia of Otto and co TOTALLY right -

    a) Jens Lehmann comes on for his last game for Arsenal, and what does he get for his troubles?

Only the ENTIRE 60,000 crowd in the Emirates standing up on their seats and giving him a STANDING OVATION. This went on for a good couple of MINUTES apparently.

Disgusting, disrespectful behaviour. So disgusting that Jens said afterwards:

"The moment at the end was an amazing feeling for me - after five years and a lot of emotional moments," he said.

"It was a great farewell for me and I am really grateful to the supporters and they will always stay in my heart.

"I really appreciated [coming on at the end]. In terms of success [during my Arsenal career], [the unbeaten season] was my highlight.

"It was unfortunate that this season did not come to a deserved happy ending."

After witnessing this horrible display of xenophobia towards our german cousins,

    b) I then had to witness DIDI HAMANN of Manchester City jogging around Anfield, ready to come on as a substitute against his old club Liverpool.

And what were the Liverpool fans doing? Booing him perhaps? Throwing frankfurters at his head as he ran past? Singing 10 German bombers?

Nope, they were up on their feet, cheering him as he made his way up and down the sidelines to replace Elano. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=239777&&cc=5739

Yet another STANDING OVATION for a German player? On the same afternoon? Whatever next?!!!

And more importantly, why havent we HEARD about this DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR from Otto yet today?

    Truly appalling stuff,

and proving that EVERY theory and stereotype peddled you ever heard about English fans and their anti German attitudes is 100 PERCENT correct.

To those poor Germans playing in England <Ale> Note to Lahm and Co - STAY AWAY, for your own safety! affraid

Only the ENTIRE 60,000 crowd in the Emirates standing up on their seats, craning their necks to see the best goalie in the world who had propelled them to a CL final and an unbeaten EPL season; after two minutes of STANDING OVATION they decided that enough was enough and swore to themselves they would give Alumia 10 minutes when it was his time

Disgusting, disrespectful behaviour. So disgusting that Jens said afterwards:

"It was unfortunate that this season did not come to a deserved happy ending, but then again, Wenger should never have treated me so appallingly."

Nope, they were up on their feet, cheering on the guy who had singlehandedly let them to CL glory and apologizing at the same time for never having shown the legend any respect; he made his way up and down the sidelines to replace Elano, who could not understand why he had taken Didi's starter place http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=239777&&cc=5739

    Otto,

you have no answer for this display of ANTI GERMANNESS old bean!

You have managed to brainwash yourself into this way of thinking that you are a downtrodden, ill-treated nation on these shores, when the facts clearly show it is not the case. Good luck with peddling the propoganda regardless Ale

    I apologize profusely, old chap

the English really love the Germans

which, no doubt, they will demonstrate by supporting the Mannschaft at Euro 2008

for once, you will be forgiven for being glory-hunters
