Schuster won La Liga once and got Levante relegated last time, so both Rijkaard and Schuster have got clubs relegated.

At the moment Rijkaard >>>>>Schuster (the winners' medals prove it), but the German might overhaul him in the future. Right now not even close.

Don't forget that Rijkaard took over a team that hadn't won the league in years. Schuster took over a team of champions...

Jol: Nicht erste Wahl - aber dafür die beste?

    http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/artikel/199543/

Martin Jol, the best Dutch coach? According to a Dutch expert he is. Laugh

Then it's only a question of time for Hamburg to dominate league and Europe completely... ok

Seems Manchester City want Jol now as well. They offer 3.5m Euro per year, 1.5m Euro more than HSV and he could spend 75m Euro there for new players...HSV doesn´t even have 10m available I guess. Bad luck for Stellingen.

Looks like Jol to Hamburg is a done deal. Jol apparently has agreed on the job, and now only the HSV board of directors have to give their blessing to it (which they most likely will). The decision will be made public after 18:00 today.

He and his team will earn ~€4m a year. He better deliver for that kind of money, especially if HSV don't play in Europe next season, and therefore need every penny.

Jol is simply not good enough for HSV

which is Germany's 2nd biggest club

having said that he's a nice guy and he is a HUGE Bundesliga fan

when he was still at Spurs he told English hacks that he would watch ALL Bundesliga games, which kind of explains his lack of success at Tottenham

he wrote an excellent World Cup column in the Sunday Times, the best in England where he seemed to be totally immune to the England hype and always praised Poldi and Co

Stevens did a good job to clear the mess that Doll made. Now it is up to der Jolvater to continue this way.

I reackon meister within 2 seasons!

But we don't need your support at all Otto!

This is such a big club (imo the biggest in Germany) and they really need the succes they deserve.

So we are taking it over from here now. Schalke and Dortmund will follow soon as well.

Schalke and probably HSV are idiots for hiring Rutten and Jol

it now looks likely that DAUM will leave Cologne despite getting them up into the 1. Bundesliga

Keulen always promote and then relegate so its not that much of hard task to do.

Smart move by Cocaine Daum to leave.

If Bayern were smart they would have gone for van Gaal! Bayern would win the treble with ease.

Next year will be Schalke's year, and then HSV!

God those Dutch coaches make the Bundesliga interesting again Otto..I cant WAIT!

I expect you to support HSV next season though, infact I think it would be a could idea if we both buy seasontickets for next year at HSV! Imagine how great that would be!!

We definately should make a picture of us and Martin Jol between us! That would be so awesome!

There was no lack of success in Jol's part. He made us into a exciting attacking team (when we were boring and at times tedious in our play) and reached our best league position for years, whilst narrowly and rather unluckily missing out in a CL. Brought in youngsters and comp[letly changed out team around.

The pressure got to him and it didn't help when the media here in England were like vultures and duley added pressure on him, whilst not getting into the boardroom antics which effectively got him the sack.

Point is, as any spurs fan will tell you, he was NOT at all a failure and was a breath of fresh air for our club.

Just a small statistic to put the Dutch manager hype in the Bundesliga into perspective. Under Stevens, HSV have collected as many points in the second half of the this season as they did with Doll in that awful first half last year, when Hamburg were on a relegation spot, which forced them to sack him later on, and put Stevens in charge. Laugh

When Doll (!) took over, Hamburg were in the relegation zone, and he made them finish third in the league, their best season in ages. Laugh

Hilarious. Even his team hates his guts now, and Stevens wants to write a book about his "Hamburg experience".

Good luck Hamburg. If Jol can make you play better football than this awful anti-football under Stevens, it'll be an achievement at least.

With all these Dutchies managing big clubs in Germany next season, there is no excuse for them to fail again. We'll see if we can witness the first Dutch manager to ever win the Bundesliga.

So what about Jol's team? Zjelko -I-played-with-Maradona- Petrovic & Big Marty's bro C0ck.

Zjelko, who is a nice guy, also is 1 of the biggest ass-lickers in the world (luckily for him Marty has got a huge ass). He understands footy well though.

Picking an asslicker & your own bro as assistant reminds me a bit of the Dutch national team with Marco in charge with his mates as assistant. Don't like teams like that.

I'll alaways remember MJ fondly, he's a great character was a breath of fresh air to Spurs when he joined.

We were heading nowhere before he joined the club, we missed out from the CL after a very unlucky incident with food poisoning in 2006, and he was improving the club slowly but surely until he was undermined by the board.

But 5th in the EPL = 1st in the Bundesliga, so I expect him to be a major success there. BiggrinAle
