    What fee are you expecting?

I personally would love for Barça to sign him, but unfortunately there are no rumours about it Sad

Hard to say, really. As I said, apparently there aren't any offers yet, so I'm afraid we shouldn't hope too much for some sort of bidding race.

There were rumours about Chelsea being interested a while ago, but I haven't heard anything about that for weeks.

I guess, if some big Spanish club wants him, he'd still prefer to go there.

I reckon it's the injuries that may be putting everyone off. He can really put himself in the shop window during Euro 2008. Good performances there, esp. lots of goals, could be the difference between a price tag on either side of 15 million euros.

Hehehe. He still thinks he decides that. Laughing

Of course, most likely, the club will let him go this summer, but he should finally learn that you can't break contracts unilaterally - and basically just shut up. *sighs*

Honestly, by now I'd be happy, if some other club had to deal with that soon.

and what if he is only a bench warmer at the Euro's? I can well happen since the competition extreme. There is no country who has so many players available for his position...

will there still be interst from the big clubs?

Agreed Rick, imo in this form he shouldnt even be selected for the team. I mean he is not better then RVP...so let him stay at home at pick Affelay instead!

@Fey It won't happen because that would causes a lot of fuss in the media and supporters....

But based on the form: Afellay, Van Persie, Robben, Sneijder, Babel, Kuyt had a better season than VdV

Will he warm the bench during Euro or is there actually a chance for him to play?

Basically he says he see's a lot of potential at HSV..because they are the biggest team of Germany after Bayern.

He actually wanted to stay in London..but then HSV called and he didnt need to think for more then 5 minutes!!!

    What a guy <Ale>

We won the cup winners cup. But that's not even the point, you just don't get it. The league is the bread and butter, if you don't get the results in the league, for decades that is, there is no way for you to be the #1 in anything. Hell, even Wolfsburg could overtake them in near future... Very Happy

Besides, HSV of 1983 is very different to HSV 2008. While the former won the European Cup indeed, the latter is not even playing in the CL. And if they actually do, they manage to embarass the league.

Nah, Jol can't be that bad. They will lose VDV, but they will get some money for him, so they should be able to replace him adequately. Expect Hamburg to finish on a UEFA Cup spot again next season, minimum 6th (intertoto).

If not, they should fire him, because he earns a lot of money.
