    No

I feel out of decency and good taste I cannot continue.

So like a good Catholic, I shall withdraw at the last minute.

I'm sure your mum is a lovely person Coop. I do not want to go to hell over this do you hear!

Stewie is standard now, no need to boast there. 2 goals for him.

Carrick without a place again Laugh

Huddlestone's ahead of him in the pecking order, must be gutting.

    ok

When you're not good enough, its always hard to take.
And you probably know that better then anyone , good lad.

No doubt Carrick must be devastated picking up his 2nd Champions medal- and becoming a firm fixture in the United first team - and not playing for this joke of an the England team.

    Jagielka? Warnock?

I'm seriously considering supporting the Germans for good

Well England aren't in Euro 2008. But so what if he is picking lesser favoured players. Jagielka has been great for Everton.

Also Capello has seen quite a few Man U games now and yet Carrick still not being picked surely tells you something about his opinion of Carrick. Whichj happens to match mine that he is overrated.

    Who overrates Carrick? Seriously?

What I love the most about England fans is their fickle nature. Moaning that we are incapable of ball retention, pulling our hair out that Gerrard is always playing the hollywood ball
    And Carrick doesn't?

Then when we have a player who is capable of holding possession
Only when the pass is on, he cannot consistently create the pass.
    good passing,
Technique and range. He'll never be able to pass the way Gerrard did vs Chelsea in the CL semi's.

DS wrote:He cant set the tempo when Aston Villa plays a team with a decent midfield like Liverpool,Arsenal,Chelsea,us etc so what proof he would be doing it at Man Utd.
When has Carraick ever done this? When he played well against Chelesea he never set the tempo but made a series of midfield splitting passes. Chelsea were overloading on ManU and Carrick couldn't slow it down, he could only get the ball out accurately to a free player. Against Arsenal he has only dominated against a weak team consisting of Gilberto, Traore, and Hoyte. and then he could only do what he did because he has two CM runners to chase down the opposition. Carrick is just a passer most of the time and replies on the movement of other to make those passes. Huddlestone is much better.

David Wheater will take the next step in his journey from League Two to England international when he captains the Under-21s against Wales on Thursday night.

The Middlesbrough centre-back, 21, was on loan at Darlington last season but has established himself at the Riverside since.

He will skipper England's youngsters as Steven Taylor has been rested for the friendly at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.

Wheater could also make his senior debut later this month as he is in the squad for the matches against USA and Trinidad and Tobago.

"To be named captain is a fantastic honour," said Wheater.

"I didn't expect to be at Middlesbrough this season, I thought I may have been going out on loan, but the manager put me in and it's just gone on from there. I've got my Under-21s call-up and then the seniors."

Despite being an autograph-hunter, Wheater will not be asking his heroes for signatures when he meets up with the seniors.

"Going to meet John Terry and Rio Ferdinand will be great but I won't be taking my autograph book," he added.

Tom Huddlestone, Theo Walcott and Gabriel Agbonlahor are also in both Under-21 and senior squads, as is Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce believes Hart has the potential to establish himself as a regular in the senior squad.

"He's taken his chance and established a claim to be Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper and in my opinion he's gone beyond that as well," Pearce said.

"He's been a major part of this squad and has potential to achieve whatever he wants.

"He's got a bit of everything - shot-stopping, distribution and he's 6ft 5in. I have a feeling he has a temperament that will take everything in his stride.

"I hope he keeps his first-team berth at Man City next season, I'm sure he will.

"On top of that, hopefully he can stay in the senior squad

    David Wheater Ale
