Deco scores! Looked like a mistake by Cech though.

    Great run by Ronaldo.

    The buildup was just brilliant.

Can't blame Cech, just saw the replay. He saved the first shot, the Czech defence should have blocked the second by Deco.

Well not really. The return pass from the one-two didn't go where it was intended so it was a bit lucky.

Portugal are looking good in attack as always, but this tournament they have a really solid defense as well. If I'm nitpicking, I think the relative youth and of some of their key players is the only downside.

If there's a Germany-Portugal semi, that could well decide the eventual winner.

You really can be silly..the fact that we are talking about a Germany-Portugal semi says it all BLUT!

Cause you ALWAYS play a tough semi...otherwise it wouldnt be the semi-final!!

Well except in 2002 then...when someone got South-Korea Doh

BTW 3 Portuguese goals..2 of them are from Brazilians!

    Says it all!

Lol, I know it's a bit silly to say something like that. But if we were to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of all the teams we've seen so far, i see the least or most minor weaknesses in both Germany and Portugal.

Baros did well to get in front of both Carvalho and Pepe, but his header went over.

And the Czechs equalise! A header from Sionko!

I confess that I didn't think much of Sionko in the first match. He ran a lot and saw a bit of the ball, but I didn't think he linked well with Koller, who he was often running off, and I thought his shooting and sometimes his final ball was poor. He's playing over on the left today.

Exactly, that could really be a difference maker, esp. in the knockout stages. Ferreira is not as good as the other 3 but by being on the left he is minimised, because none of the teams in Group A, B, or even Germany have a really good right winger.

Ricardo is a weak link on crosses so they'll have to watch for that, but Pepe and Carvalho are just giants in the air.
