Danced around. Badly. In a manner reminiscent of Adebayor and Henry when they did those truly appalling goal celebrations.

Good goal from City. It took me a while to recognise Ireland today, but he is playing well.

City have scored as many goals as Liverpool, Arsenal and Man Chester put together, and the same amount as Chelsea. Who says they need to sign a striker?

Problem is there's no established partnership there. Bojinov is out for a while, so is Vassell though he's a right winger anyway nowadays.

Castillo and Evans won't play much or at least won't be reliable enough to start regularly, while Caicedo hasn't looked like settling any time soon. And not looked that great when he's played either.

Leaves Jo, who hasn't even trained with them yet, Sturridge, and Benjani, who's currently injured but otherwise still to get over the Adebayor syndrome of 1 good season.

I think Behrami is wasted at fullback.

Someone should have told Behrami to pull hs shorts up cos Petrov could not stop raping him today.

Just got back from the game and it was a great performace by us. Yes they played for a good part of the game with 10 men but even before that we had hit the bar and post, whilst they hadnt troubled us at all.

Sturidge looks like he has a brillianfuture ahead of him, whilst Kompany put in a great perfomance in his first game and looks a snip at £6m. It was great to see Ireland put in one of his best performances in a City shirt whilst Johnson , Elano and Petrov also played very well.

Overall it was a great performance and gives us our confidence back after the dissapointing result against Villa last week.

Also a last point is how brilliant it was to end the game with 5 of our 6 mids and strikers on the pitch (only Hamann the odd one out of Evans, Sturidge, Ireland, Johnson, Etuhu )all being academy graduates, it bodes very well for the future.

So how would bringing in a new striker change the facts there's no established partnership?

Jo is back now which helps and Elano is doing well in his role. BUT Sturidge is young and although looking good we dont want to rush him and put pressure on him same with Evans whilst Boj, Vas and Benjani are all injured, Castillo is leaving and Caicedo isnt looking to good at the moment. So we could do with one really, a loan deal might eb the option but we will see.
