English goal for Arsneal, made by Wilshire, scored by Simpson. Terrible play from the Wigan midfield.
And Melchiot had their fault there, not keeping a defensive line trying to defend too close on Merida I think...

    HT Arsenal 1-0 Wigan

What a result that would be If the youngster hold on to that scoreline.

When talking about Ramsey's qualities, the focus of the discussion should be, what can't the boy do? really, what does he lack?

Wilshere is just unbelievable for his age.

    Kirkland has been class.

Wigan are the most underrated team in the league. Don't let their recent results or league position fool u, I have seen them being more than a match for both Chelsea and Pool this season. They didn't deserve to lose both games.
Don't sure about you losing today, but you are 100% right.

I was a little bit too late, could somebody post Starting XI for Arsenal?

    -------------Fab
    hoyte---Song--Jewroo---------Gibbs
    Wilshere---Randall--Ramsey--merida
    -------Simpson---Vela
    Thnx.
Fabianski looks shaky at the moment, Wilshere keeps impressing me and it's very, very open and entertaining game to watch.

He's made few mistakes tonight, but I like the way he likes to command his area. He's the type of goalie that's best for a team like ours that can defend simple long balls. I'm starting to see why he's so highly rated.

I get sick of it [ridiculous hyping] too. Mainly clueless meh meh without thinking themselves. Imo the Arsenal Academy sucks, because we have produced f@ck all ourselves. Anyone can buy talented 15-18 olds and improve them. It's about creating them yourself. Feyenoord have a good Academy; Arsenal haven't.

loathing from neutrals ie Man Utd and Spurs fans?

what are the commentators supposed to do? This Arsenal side are playing very well, beating full strength sides seemingly with ease, are the commentators supposed to watch the game with the same cynasism that you so regularly display? Who wants to see a commentator slagging of a side that is winning 5-0 saying "yeah, but none of them will make it, only half f them are English blah blah" the loathing comes from bitterness and jealousy. Any other young team doing what the Arsenal kids do would receive just as much praise from the media.

Look at how quickly Quincy was got rid of. Wenger very rarely ships a young player out that quckly. Simpson is still here!
Lupoli didnt look bad really, but since he's left here, his career seems to have stagnated.

Fabianski is really surprisengly far from being solid tonight, in my eyes he is a keeper who rarely will make a world class saves, but rarely makes mistakes too. Not tonight with the latter option.

it's a bit part of English commentary though. You'll never get such exaggeration in Holland. The way English commentators call about every thing Rooney, Lamps or Gerrard do brilliant is very irritating too. Though find it funny other players always 'fail to connect' to their (poor) passes.

ok Would love to see this midfield against our powerhouse midfield of Mikel, Essien, Ballack & Lampard.

They're very very good youngsters, and 2-3 of them will probably become 1st team regular starters in the next couple of years, but right now they're no world beaters.
