    £100M+?

I presume this will be cash deal, similarly to Robinho's £32M move...Yikes

What will Kaka make of this? A couple of years ago Milan said that Kaka was in transferable and would retire at Milan Laughing. Money talks eh.

Milan need to revamp their squad of OAP's, and this £100M will do the trick.

Well, an undecided player would certainly think again if they knew they'd be playing alongside Kaka and Robinho. This is part of the reason they are willing to spend so mad on Kaka; no-one can deny they mean business if they sign someone who is universally regarded as one of the best in the world, from one of the biggest clubs in the world.

Of course, I'm hoping it goes through and then they still manage to get relegated. That would just be hilarious (no offence, goater + cookie - I'm just annoyed that when we're finally getting on the verge of the top 4, another team is going to just jump the queue!)

Also, I'm feeling slightly smug, as I just looked back over the first couple pages of this and I was one of the only non-City fans who didn't completely mock the possibility of this happening, back in November Wink

No one apart from Goats thought so. It's in Kaka's hands now, yesterday he was saying he wanted to grow old at Milan, but £500K a week, he might get old in Manchester.

However if he rejects the move, he'll go down as an even bigger legend with the fans.

Sure, but he will know that he is expendable, he is not the idol, and may jump ship if Milan dont improve.
I think he will move, even if not to City, Milan accepting the bid would probably have doubts about his mind, if Milan thinks he is expendable, he may think Milan are too.

It would be a shame if he was to take the money, and hopefully he will conclude that he does well enough already and choses to stay at Milan, but money is probably the biggest motivating factor in football these days. And in some ways it's an understandable choice if he goes. Milan don't really look like being successful in Serie A, and the sums of money being mentioned are astronomical. It's easy for us to be dismissive, but it must be awfully tempting to have that much money being offered. Hopefully he stays, but there aren't many footballers I would trust to turn down such a big pay-rise.

Although I'm with debaser here. I've nothing against Man City, but it would be hilarious to see them sign Kaka and then go down.

Kaka will look quite bad if this goes through. but then again Milan accepted this deal not Kaka. the fact that Kaka said he wanted to stay with Milan just after these rumors proves he wants to stay doesn't it?
This seems like it is Milan pushing the deal.

And it's not as absurd as it sounds. They have to be a little careful. If they go and buy a whole new team in January, they are relying on it to gel straight off. And even if they 'only' sign Kaka and one or two others, it could still be unsettling for a side which has been very inconsistent all season.

Of course, it could just give them a massive boost and they'll go on a big winning run.
