Quite smart from Benitez IMO, channels all the focus on him and not his players... much in the way Mourinho did for Chelsea taking the pressure off the players as the press become more interested in the manager.

Or Rooney getting a 3 game prem ban for a yellow card offence at best in a friendly against some random dutch team. And worst of all the rant comes only weeks after Fergie served a touchline ban and got a fine for blasting referee's

Benitez's only real aim from this is the focus it will now place on the bullshit that happens with united, ferguson and refs. He will be more than happy with the outcome if we see some sort of impact on the sheer volume of shit united and fergie get away with
