You tried to produce a similar example (Macheda's goal) and then you refuted it. You built up a strawman and then knocked it down.

Anyway, both those goals needed an element of luck. Adebayor's was more impressive because you need great technique and agility to pull off a move like that plus i also thought the pass from cesc and control from ade were both very good.

About 90% of the people on here said that goal was brilliant. Messiah is permanently drunk so thought Sennas was better. Saints is permanently trying to wind up Arsenal fans/blacks so said it wasnt meant.

People on here might've said they think Adebayor is a bit shit at times..well, he is. I dont think he's shit because he's African though.

African or not I think all players should be given the benefit of the doubt when they score goals like that. They don't have to do something as spectacular as that every week for us to concede that it was intentional.

No need to name and shame Coops they know who they are ok

Ade has been erratic but what annoys me is the fact I've seen players like Torres miss just as easy chances but yet it is never picked up on.

Maybe the fact that he may always be in the shadow of what Henry does may play on this. It is weird because he has already done more than Thierry in the knockout stages.

Yeh, probably Ronaldo's. As much as I think he's a greasy little fuck who needs a right twatting, not a bad effort really. Ade's second, even if it wasn't completely on purpose that doesn't take anything away from the fact that it was such a good goal, control and volleyed finish in one? top class! He did a similar one against Newcastle last year.

Keita and Lampard probably joint 3rd, Keita's cos of the insane amount of passes prior to the move and the good finish, and Lampard's because I'm a bias Chelsea fan.

Aurelio as well for making Cech look like a total cock.

Not a question for me really. Adebayors goal was the best I have seen in quite some time in Cl if you look past all those passing moves goal(not that there has been many). Ronaldos goal was great as was the long shots of Senna but such efforts could well be repeated next without a biggie. Ade's type of goal will proberbly not be replicated for some time.

I produced an essentially identical example, of a goal which required a lot of skill to do but which most people doubt the player thought through before he did it. No strawman, because I didn't make out that Macheda's unintentional goal proved that Adebayor's was unintentional. I was using it illustratively.

If you're going to get into accusations of logical fallacies then at least learn what they are first. I've told you this before, so you don't have any excuses.

We know that ronaldo and lampard's 2nd were flukes anway - they are soulless, cynical percentage players and never intentionally shoot for the corners.

Both of Ade's were class, as was Walcott's.

I'm tempted to go for Aurelio, however bad the positioning from Cech was.

In truth, I was referring to Rape Parlour's responses and didn't think you were being entirely serious.

However, since you've brought it up - it was a beautiful goal, and to say it wasn't intentional I don't mean it was an unintentional fluke, just that it wasn't premeditated. He tried something on instinct and it came off beautifully. If that's the sort of goal you most admire then of course it's the best of the round.

As to the continent issue, you're right I suppose. Ronaldo did that cheeky backheel last year and it was an instinctive flick with none of the agility of Adebayor's strike yet it got wanked over something chronic. It's not that I think Adebayor's in any way a bad player, I just think he's not up there with Eto'o and Drogba as yet in the very top bracket of strikers. Still, he's >>> Henry.
