He gave the penalty because it didn't affect the outcome of who progressed.

Imagine if the score had been 1-1 or 1-2. Would he have given the penalty then, at the Camp Nou with only 30 seconds of injury time remaining?

Well that's speculation.

But like i said, all this talk is irrelevant. Terry did dive the last time you were in Camp Nou and the referee awarded the penalty. So there was nothing wrong with what i said.

You honestly think he would have given a penalty at the Camp Nou if he knew it could send Barcelona out of the CL?

Terry's diving to win it is irrelevant. My argument was that we will not get a (dubious) penalty unless we are 3/4-0 down. It will have to be absolutely stone wall and even then we still might not get it.

I'm not saying this only happens at the Camp Nou. It happens at most of the major European clubs.

Like i said it's pure speculation. If he thought it was a penalty, then i'd be inclined to say. I doubt he'd make a bad call like that on purpose just because the game was basically dead.

Man Utd got a fairly dubious penalty very early in their semi-final last season. It's certainly possible.

Funny because its the inclusion of both rather than one that stops them from being a team good enough to win the CL or EPL.
