Why would you want to be friendly with the madridista scum. You have already conclusively proven that anything infected by madridistas corrupts eg. Spain. Wink

Villa chooses Barcelona after being turned off by Real Madrid

David Villa wants a move to Barcelona after being left unimpressed by Real Madrid's efforts to sign him.

El Mundo Deportivo says Barca are ready to make Villa the biggest signing in their history and are willing to go as high as £40 million to bring him to the Nou Camp.

Both clubs know Villa wants to move to Barca and now it is only a matter of reaching an agreement over a final fee.

Meanwhile, it's claimed Villa felt offended by Real's previous attempts to sign him. Having seen them twice break the world record for Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo, Villa was shocked by Real's offer of £20 million plus Alvaro Negredo for his services last week.

There was also his rift with Real captain Raul. Villa was happy to take the No7 shirt for Spain's Confederations Cup campaign and he was unsure about moving to Real given his frosty relationship with Raul being so well known.

Sounds like rubbish. The newest from him is "last week my future was decided but now it's up in the air again".

Doesn't take a genius to figure out what he's talking about.

Look, we all know that Barcelona are interested in Villa but we also know they aren't going to sign another first choice striker unless they get rid of Eto'o. Simple as.

I think Villa is irritated with the club because they pulled the plug on what was a done deal. When he gets back to Spain I think he is going to try to impose his will to move.

They can't find a left back in La Masia so it looks like they'll have to go for one of or ex-canteranos. Wink

we are going to sign him and with the help of the coaches at barca, he will develop on that potential he had at Madrid, but their inferior training couldn't bring out of him

you are going to wish you had kept him, instead of signing Albeloa

So they've resigned Cesar, signed Moya - I wonder what becomes of Renan who I thought did very well in his first season prior to the injury.

And rightly so. Villa is Valencia's prized asset. It's absolutely pointless selling him for less than his worth. It won't solve the financial crisis at the club, will weaken the team and stregthen a rival as well. It makes no sense for Valencia to sell, especially at prices offered. Hands off vultures. cheers

*Miguel Flaño could have a precontract with Athletic; Osasuna still want to renew him (has one year left on his current deal) but if he rejects it they will look to sell him.

*Espanyol are asking for 5m euro for the services of Sergio Sanchez and Sevilla are well placed to sign the defender

*Sevilla also being linked with Uche for 9m euro

Barcelona 'Close' To Signing Keirrison - Reports

Barcelona are close to securing the services of highly-rated Brazilian youngster Keirrison, according to reports in his home country.

The 20-year-old is currently playing for Palmeiras but has been rumoured to be leaving for Europe this summer.

Now, according to Globoesporte, Marcos Malaquias, the player's agent, is currently in Barcelona negotiating a deal.

Even though Keirrison plays for Palmerias, 80% of his rights are owned by business group Traffic, the group Barcelona will have to deal with.

The Brazilian club bought 20% of his rights when they signed him and so far he has been in prolific form, scoring five times in seven matches.

Although Barcelona are reportedly close to signing him, it is not known what his future would be at the Camp Nou, and he could be loaned out.

Earlier today reports claimed that the Catalans might try to loan him to Valencia as part of a deal for David Villa, although los Che confirmed they have received no bids for the striker yet.

As well as Keirrison and Villa, Barcelona have also been linked with a move for Diego Forlan, who was the top scorer in Spain last year.

Palmeiras striker Keirrison has emerged as key to Barcelona clinching the signing of Valencia ace David Villa.

Sport says Barca, flush with transfer funds, are ready to buy Keirrison and immediately include him in their bid for Villa.

Valencia do not have the cash to meet Keirrison's £10 million asking price, but have been following the Brazilian youngster for over 12 months.

Barca are weighing up signing Keirrison before including him in a bid worth £40 million for Spain international Villa.

Just a couple of pretty big rumours from AS: Atletico are after Lafita who just returned to Zaragoza. He had a great year last year in my opinion for Deportivo and now with Maxi Rodriguez possibly on the move, Atletico want Lafita as the replacement. Zaragoza want 6m euro for the player, Atletico are going to try to send Jurado or Cleber Santana the other way to try and lower the price.

Also - it looks like Mati Fernandez will be on his way to Sporting CP; according to the Portuguese club they have come to an agreement with Villarreal and the transfer is done pending the medical examination.

    http://www.marca.com/2009/06/27/futbol/equipos/mallorca/1246099657.html

Well, another summer of big sales for Mallorca. First Moya, now Arango - Jurado also gone. I don't know how they will stay up next year. But I thought the same last year after they sold Guiza, Borja Valero, and Jonas. Manzano will have a big job on his hands.

Palmeiras have confirmed this morning that they have received an official offer from Barcelona for striker Keirrison.

It was reported yesterday that the highly-rated Brazilian was close to moving to Spain and now it seems even more likely that he will be at the Camp Nou next season.

The statement, on the official Palmeiras website, reads: 'This morning, Barcelona from Spain have made an official offer for the purchase of the forward Keirrison.

'Even though at the moment negotiations have not been finalised, the player won't be considered for Sunday's match against Santos ... and will remain out of the team until the situation is resolved.'

It is not yet known whether Barcelona will keep Keirrison, or whether they will loan him out, with some reports stating they could use him as part of a deal to sign David Villa from Valencia.

According to southamericanfootball.co.uk, the deal could be worth between €15-20 million and former Palmeiras coach Vanderlei Luxemborgo stated on his blog that "Keirrison is ready for Barca" and "the move is on the verge of being finalised".

Luxemburgo announced his departure from the club early this morning and also talked of his disappointment at the way the Keirrison situation was handled.

"I found out through a friend last night, nobody from Traffic [who own 80% of Keirrison's rights] informed me of what was happening, much less Keirrison himself. I spoke to Kerrisions' representatives, who were extremely disrespectful," he said.

    Would this work?

I suppose it could work on the football pitch although I for one think it could be a waste to put Villa on the wing like that. But I still argue that Barcelona are not going to go for Villa unless they are capable of selling Eto'o.

Villa is more effective when he roams around the box, at times even coming from deep to score goals.
