Well, assuming your persona to date is as you say it is, you prefer to spend your time protecting Zlatan Ibrahimovic's honour and generally arguing / trolling strangers on the internet than you do spending time with your kid and earning a living to support him/her. That is pretty hard to believe by any decent human standard

Youngsters going to Chelsea just sets back their career, look at Lukaku amongst others.Surely the reason why players like him go there in the first place is a nice pay day for doing close to fuck all.

Chelsea closing in on Victor Moses.

Not the best move for his career IMO. He's going to be up against Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Marin and Sturridge. He's already fighting a losing battle. He's only 21. He should've gone to a club where he'd be a guaranteed starter. Newcastle/Liverpool would've been perfect Ale

attacking players are somewhat more interchangeable than defenders, so it's not necessarily as decadent as it might seem, Chelsea will need to be competitive across all competitions though if they're all to get game time, but Arsenal and Man Utd have always had a surplus of these types of players and the cup competitions prove great springboards to the first team.

I agree though that it's an odd choice for the player, if there was interest from other top 8 clubs.

Where is S4P these days? I need to know if Essien can still play football or if this is just one of Jose's indulgences. I think even a broken Essien would be better than 100% of Lass. Ale

Raul Meireles leaves Chelsea for Fenerbahce in £8m deal Yikes

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19466253

Correct me if I'm handsome and wrong, but with McEachran and Essien out on loan, doesn't this leave Chelsea reliant on the awful Lampard and Mikel, with just Romeu (who I understand was poised to join Malaga on loan) as backup?

    WHAT?

+ Ramires/Oscar/Marin, depending where they fit. They do have a small squad & heavy on AM rather than DM. Seem to be going for the tournament style 23 man squad, 2 for each position + 1 extra keeper. But I guess quite a few of their midfield can play anywhere across the middle and they can shuffle round, e.g. Ramires deeper, Bertrand as winger and so on

    So it'll be something like

    1st Team:
    Cech
    Ivanovic-Terry-Cahill-Cole
    Mikel-Lampard
    Ramires-Hazard-Mata
    Torres

    Backup:

    GK: Turnbull/Hilario
    DF: Luiz/Bertrand/Azpilicueta/Ferreira
    MF: Oscar/Marin/Malouda/Romeu
    FW: Sturridge/Moses

Romeu can play as DM, Ramires can play as one of the double pivots and Malouda can play CM in 4-3-3. That's about it. Their CF options aren't very impressive as well, besides Sturridge and Drogba maybe Moses could do it. I guess kids playing Football Manager would do it better, at least they would sign a few more centre forwards.

    I believe so.

First CL champions to go out in the group stages the following season.

Awful performances in the finals of the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA World Club Cup.

Knocked out in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup at home.

In danger of slipping out of the top 4, having been 8 points ahead of Spurs and 10 points ahead of Arsenal after 8 games and looking like we were going to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League (which included wins at Tottenham, Arsenal and only losing to Man Utd via some very controversial refereeing).

We have City in the FA Cup semi-final. Our recent record against them is poor and the FA Cup is their last opportunity to win something and salvage a poor season for them. In my opinion they are the favourites for that tie, which would only leave the Europa League.

you were never going to mount a serious challenge for the Premier League, Jamie.

You went into the season with 1 striker, no midfield and the likes of Bertrand and Turnbull dangerously close to the first XI.

Chelsea fans did their best to salvage the season, and I for one was surprised that booing and singing vile songs at the new manager from minute 1 didn't improve the team's fortunes.

Man Utd haven't lost a game in the league since RDM was sacked. The best you could have hoped for with or without him was top 4 and a run in the cups, which despite the fans petulance is exactly what you've got.
