    Diaby and Silvestre? Nein, danke!

Some 'insider' (clown) claimed that we are interested in Hertha's very gifted DM Kacar and supposedly offer €12m for him. Seems like he confused us with Stuttgart.

Very very unlikely, even for Stuttgart who do have the money. Hertha need money, but they'd basically sell their soul. Can't see them selling him after losing so many key players already.

He'd be awesome for us though.

Hertha are being linked to Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, who would be a free transfer.

Would be great just for the awesome name alone.

It seems like Werder only paid €2m (!) for Claudio Pizarro, as usually reliable Kicker magazine reports. Chelsea demanded €5m in the beginning, but Allofs was patient and waited until they accepted his offer. Pizarro will earn less in Bremen also, €3m a year instead of €4m in London.

If this is true, it's a steal. Transfer of the season, together with Ze Roberto to HSV.

Hertha's 22 year old Gojko Kacar (DM / CM) is being linked to Barcelona.

If Hertha really sell him, too, they are going to get relegated this season.

Köln are being linked to Tuncay. Would be a great signing.

Wolfsburg apparently want to replace Zaccardo (crap) with Heitinga (crap). Would be a backup for a backup, but what's the point?

Apparently, Bayern are close to signing Robben.

    http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/0,1518,645310,00.html

IMHO, Real are stupid to let him go. He is injury prone, but absolute quality. Would of course be a good buy and an indication for Van Gaal's intention to switch to a 4-3-3 system. Robben and Ribery on both flanks could be absolutely devastating, no matter what opposition.

Bayern still need to invest in the defence though. A necessity!

Although Robben and Rafinha look like last second panic transfers (which they kind of are), they could be great for the long term as well. Both are only 25 and 23 years old, respectively. Plus we'll be spending much less money next summer. We might actually make some, if we sell Ribery.

Now all I need is a win against Wolfsburg. Thank you.

    Hard to say with vG.

Olic - Gomez - Robben up front though. Müller as 10, perhaps, and hopefully a double 6 behind them (Schwein/Tymo). Hoping for Pranjic at left back and Butt in goal.

Rafinha would be a very good buy for Bayern, as I wrote in the Bayern thread earlier already. With Ribery & Lahm on the left, and Rafinha and Robben on the right, their flanks are as good as any in world football, at least on paper.

He is a good / decent goal scorer. But no Bundesliga club wanted to sign him, despite him being a free transfer, because

    a) he is an egoistic c**t
    b) his wage demands

Dunno how much Ajax pay him, but he is one of those players who can unsettle a team. That's why Favre benched him in Berlin often last season, despite their lack of good players.

Decent striker though, will score goals consistently if he plays.

It seems like HSV paid some Uruguyan club €4m for Ze Roberto, so he was not a free transfer, as the HSV president confirms. Apparently, that Uruguyan club had the transfer rights.

Very complicated and confusing stuff to be honest.

Not all of them. Werder's transfer season was mediocre, for example, but we needed a really good one to challenge in the league again, primarily because others strengthened considerably indeed. So generally speaking, the league bought well indeed, but not all clubs.

The Bundesliga has spent record breaking €226m on transfers this summer, more than ever in the history of the league.

    http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_bundesliga/artikel_146617.html

If you deduct the money earned with player sales and hence look at the money the clubs have actually spent (-> money spent on transfers minus money earned with transfers), it's €108.8m, the second highest in Europe after La Liga, higher than the EPL even (€91.3m)!

The transfer season is over. All Bundesliga transfers of the summer:

    http://www.transfermarkt.de/de/aktuell/L1/2009/wechsel/menue_transfers/index.html

Bayern are the highest net spenders (-€52.8m), followed by Hamburg (-€28.7m), Hoffenheim (-€16.0m) and Wolfsburg (-€15.9m).

Werder Bremen made the biggest surplus (+€17.0m), followed by Stuttgart (+€12.6m) and Hertha (+€5.2m).

    Die Bundesliga und die 1b-Stars
    Best of the Rest
