Anyway van Persie isn't Arsenal's problem. Cesc, Arshavin, RVP & Nasri are fine. It's the others that have to become better.

Sure, I was just saying 30 goals a season is a bit much to expect of him. Another 20 odd goals and 10 odd assists would be a good season for him, maybe a bit more if he doesn't get injured, which he almost definitely will.

Hopefully we won't be in a position where we're relying on one player to bear the brunt of the goals.

Bendtner, RVP, Eduardo and Arshavin should all be setting themselves a target of 10+ EPL goals and 20 goals in all comps.

Walcott, Cesc and Nasri should be setting themselves a target of 10 goals in all comps, maybe Vela too.

I think you're being very optimistic regarding Bendtner, Eduardo, Walcott and Cesc.

However, it wouldn't surprise me if Vela had a storming season, as long as Wenger gives him enough games.

But can Arsenal use Van Persie as a front striker? Im not sure that would bring the best out of Van Persie. That is why I don't understand getting rid of Ade who fit in that role well.

Wenger's previous Arsenal sides didn't have a giant meatpipe up front, so there's no reason why this one should. Although the Chamalkh deal (was it £7m + Sylvestre they wanted?) seems silly to refuse. He'll end up at Sunderland or Blackburn otherwise, poor sod.

Fans didn't like him and he wanted to go. Wenger didn't have much of a choice. Still bad move all round IMO.

He can play lone striker. But think it's best for the team if Bendtner, Eduardo or whoever we sign to replace Ade plays up front.

For me Ade didn't have to go, but it's no use keeping players, who want to go elsewhere.

Hope his replacement will not be Africa Cup tied.

I'm not too positive either. Don't want hear any talk anymore about having to be patient & an enormous pool of talent. I want a starting 11 capable of winning things & a decent bench too.

As of now our Cb's are Vermaelen, Big Phil, Djourou, Gallas, Toure and Tweety. Some would say we are well covered in that area but it's more quantity than quality.

Hope we fucking get rid of Fergie's aprentice though Grr

We do need to hurry up and sign a CM though the season starts in a month Crazy
