Arsenal fans should enjoy it, last time you'll be top in at least a year.
Everton should sign Hutton that Hibbert is a fucking championship player at best. Arsenal were good but Everton were hopeless.

3 nutmegs in Arsenal's 4th goal! Arshavin to Denilson, Van Persie to Fabregas and Fabregas to score.

He made one potential howler but I don't think he was particularly worse than other Everton players and I don't think the situation with him had much to do with what happened today. I think it was Fellaini who was supposed to be marking Vermaelen but let him have a free header and I think it was some other defender who should have been marking Gallas for the third. After that they just seemed to give up - Fabregas just ran through them for both goals, it was like cutting through butter.

Moyes should take a lesson from our Berbatov debacle from last year and just let go off Lescott, cos this can easily snowball into a 2PF8G scenario. 'Tis not like Klingon will increase his stock by playing in front of flash Given anyway.

Fuck all the haters
Was a poor Everton side but still.....
I hope we keep getting written off.
Perfect start. In response to Shaz I prefer this 4-3-3/4-5-1 as it makes us harder to break down. Cesc did play further forward today but as Kevin said when Rosicky/Nasri are back it should be fine.
I do agree in the sense that I'm still not a fan of RVP up top by himself. Eduardo would play that role much better but Bendtner worked his socks off today and was very economical on the ball.

anyone else notice scott sinclair today for wigan? looked pretty decent from the highlights. not sure what kind of future he has with us, but is definitely capable of maintaining premiership standard.

Incredible wasnt it, I thought his, Noble's and Denilson's were all superb strikes, in the corner.Ray Parlour wrote:Rodallega's goal
The only game I watched was City vs Blackburn, even though City won, Blackburn had alot of chances against them.
That probably tells about City's maturity that they won without dominating, the best player for City in attack was SWP and in defense was Micah which is hardly surprising considering Blackburn aerial attacks.
How poor in BB's midfield Andrews and NZonzi ?

A few points from yesterday.
- Great win for us, but it does flatter a bit. Nethertheless, a win away at Everton is a valaubale result to have under our belts.
- Bent and Kenywne Jones looked fantastic together from the highlights I saw. Looking forward to Bent outscoring Spurs this season.
- Wigan. If they play like that the rest of this season, wow! Hopefully its not just a flash in the pan and Martinez really is that good at getting them to play entertaining football. Thoroughly impressive
- Portsmouth, Burnley and Wolves to go down, based on the first days football.
- Chelsea. They got the three points but the similarities with Scolari are there and I honestly don't think they'll win the title this season.

I didn't watch Wigan-Aston Villa, but reading the match reports and judging by the post-match comments, it seems Villa just let their heads drop after that wonder goal from Rodallega. One of those matches where one moment of individual skill does win the 3 points.

Aston Villa were being totally dominated before the goal Kas. They were nowhere!

Great result for Arsenal but Everton weren't at the races. It was easier than a knife cutting through butter, it was a 767 flying through a skyscraper. The big difference is that Arsenal were focussed, Everton were not. The goals were all cheap, with the exception of Denilson's perhaps. This says nothing about the rest of Arsenal's season, except that they have 3 points and a +5 goal difference.

I enjoyed the moment when Bent received the ball on the counterattack, just inside the opponents half, and not having a clue what to do in such a situation he fell over and desperately kicked it vaguely towards the nearest Sunderland player.

Ya people shouldn't read too much into opening day/weekend.
Last season Boro beat Spurs, Hull beat Fulham, Newcastle drew at Utd, Everton lost home to Blackburn...hardly represents where these teams ended up
*desperately tries to convince self*

Opening day is a leveler, neither team are fully fit so the weaker side has a better chance to get a result than they usually would. This is why it is so annoying that Liverpool get a difficult away match every damn season.
