Liverpool are the first top 5 team to slip up so far. I think SPurs might fancy a few more.

Deserved lead. I personally wouldn't change the strikers now Liverpool have to play on the counter.

In the words of Luis [paraphrase]:

Dodgy defence.

Nice dodge of the question
Wouldn't call Scholes cynical so much as shit, when it comes to tackling. He just dives in unthinking. And he often gets called up on it, although gets away with a few reds.

not really Joleon, you scored at the perfect time IMO
would be fun to watch Voronin vs Keane in the 2nd half. The battle of who could score less.

Lucas runs him close.
Annoying footballer, constantly committing fouls that he's not booked for.

We look very poor, and Tottenham are definately controlling the game at the moment.
If we continue to play in this fashion then we'll be nowhere near the title in May.
First real insight as to how we'll play without Alonso, and to say i'm not impressed is an understatement.

Bullshit, Scholes goes his whole career with people excusing him for this reason. Just today he kick a B'ham player as a tackle after the whistle had gone. And to say he gotten awy with a few reds is a gross understatement. Without keeping count its probably a few reds a season not to mention dozens of yellows a season.debaser wrote:shazlx wrote:Vieira did it to intimidate. He wasn't so cynical. United completeing their spending a month ago so in Lrd's eyes that is when the season started, around the same time Batman started making threads declaring Liverpool favourites.
We were favourites, for about 2 weeks

I never get if you're being sarcastic...
(rather madly, I have Assou-Ekotto in my Telegraph FF team )

Reina, Insua, Carra and Skrtle are the only Liverpool players I've been impressed with so far. Torres looks very frustrated - he's not playing well but he has no support. Babel and Lucas are still shite (suprise suprise)...Rafa really needs to make some changes.

I wasn't saying I would have him in the team. I was in fact comparing him to Rosicky, Nasri and VDV who are all similar players who happen to be injury prone whereas Modric isn't.The Professor wrote:shazlx wrote:MadVillain wrote:We'd be out of sight if Bent was playing instead of fucking N'GogLightweight - check, technically brilliant - check, injury prone - fuck him. That was when I was denying the possibility of it because I knew what it would be like without him, and it isn't pretty. It's made worse by the fact our other technically accomplished players aren't playing today (Riera, Yossi, Agger)
Looks like we are going to have to put Gerrard back into midfield until Aquilani comes back if this game is a good yardstick for our football without Alonso
