First look at Milito+Eto'o for Inter. Infact, Inter have started all 4 of their summer recruits. Surprisingly Lazio have kept Foggia & Cruz on the bench.

Inter: Subs: 1 Toldo, 2 Cordoba, 14 Vieira, 16 Burdisso, 18 Suazo, 39 Santon, 45 Balotelli.
Coach: Jose Mourinho.

Lazio:

Slow game, but I guess its just pre-season. I liked what I saw of Milito, Eto'o and Lucio so far, Motta not so much. Inter problem is becoming so evidently clear - there is no creativity in the midfield at all, its just long passes to the two strikers. This is not going to work, there is no Ibra upfront to create goals out of nothing. For some reason, Mou does not have either of Quaresma or Mancini on the bench. So are only attacking options are Balotelli and Suazo.

The only sub I can think of is getting Santon in for Motta, and shifting Zanetti to the right midfield in a conventional 442. It won't make too much of a different, but at least it will give us some wings.

Diakite has looked surprisingly good - very quick and well-positioned. He has saved Lazio a couple of times when I though Eto'o was going to break loose on the goal.

Re Inter, now its even more important that we have a creative mid, as there is no Ibra to save the day. Still, Muntari should ve scored, maybe I am being too harsh.

For Lazio, Zarate is looking quite sharp - I can see a goal coming from there. Surprised to see Foggia on the bench, you could ve done with his creativity. I guess Cruz will come on for Rocchi soon enuf. It will be strange to see Cruz playing against us after so long.

He would work well IMO. The game in Italy is slower which will suit it, more so With three midfielders behind him doing all the hard work, VdV will have a free role to create chances.

Main problem at Real is that he was expected to track back and help the team, and he's a bit of a lazy git. But he'd be perfect for you guys!

I'd like to see us go for a flat 4-4-2, with Mauri on the left and Foggia on the right. Like you guys, we need to use the width a bit more.

I agree that Inter's midfield lacks movement and can't seem to make any incisive passes. Eto'o and Lucio pass the ball better than them! But i wouldn't worry, Mourinho says he needs an AM and i'm pretty sure you'll get someone before the window closes, and possibly Cassano aswell.

I agree he'd fit in well and would be free to just pick out passes for Eto;o and Milito. Problem is, Mourinho doesn't like lazy players.

Zanetti has remained consistently good for 14 years at Inter now. Its so unbelievable. Pity he does not have a good finish!

Eto'o misses an open goal after beating the keeper!! What is happening!!!

We are really under pressure now. Seems like a matter of time before Inter score.
