To me Inter playing the same way as they did last year, just replace Ibra with Etoo, no change in style at all.

Lazio were extremely poor despite the win and the goals, where are they hoping to finish this season, only threat was Zarate.
Inter didnt impress either, sorry to say, what does a midfield of Muntari, Cambiasso, Motta and Deki provide in attacking sense ?
Specially Muntari, what does he offer except for occassional long range hit.
Blue was so against Hleb but he would have been a great buy for that midfield, he would have provided so much.
I didnt see too much attacking moves from Inter, most play was the long ball in space.
Etoo looked head and shoulders above any other player.
Inter looked better in the 2nd half, Balotelli should have started anyway, Milito doesnt offer much outside the box.
Lazio's 2nd goal was poor positioning from Chivu, a long ball and he misses out, again I may add, not ever impressed by him as a CB.
Boring game in the end.
I won't ve a go at ya, dude
Inter's midfield does lack creativity and goals. Thats no secret, and its evident in every game we play. Its becoming even more of a drawback, now that we have lost Ibra's creativity upfront.
I was not against Hleb joining Inter, as long as that did not mean the end of Inter's transfer campaign. Inter are currently in the market for a creative AM, and IMO Hleb was not that man. I prefer Sniejder or Hamsik. Ribery and Diego were my top 2 choices, but those are ruled out now. Lets see who we get, Inter are not complete yet.
On the brighter side, Eto'o and Lucio have looked good. Milito was decent, we will need a center forward to bang in the goals once we sort our midfield supply.
Chivu was brilliant as a CB at Rome, so don't agree with you on that one. Anyways, he was subbing for Samuel today, I think Samuel+Lucio will come good for Inter. Chivu/Cordoba are excellent back ups to have. I don't envy any club's defence over ours in Europe at the mo - this is as good as it gets.

@ DS
neither Ledesma, Pandev or Foggia were playing, so not surprising we got outplayed in midfield.
Inter still havn't bought their creative midfielder - but he will come. Blue was against Hleb because he provides little scoring threat from midfield. There are better options out there.
Milito was not as one dimensional as you make out, but i think Cassano-Eto'o would be a better partnership. Of course bth Eto'o and Milito will do better when Inter buy their creative midfielder.
On Chivu - he was good today and i believe it was Lucio who was caught out of position for Rocchi's goal.

So what you are your expectations of this seasons Bobo ?
I thought Hleb on loan would be a brilliant signing, replace Muntari with Hleb and you get someone who hardly got knocked off the ball, provides an outlet and can run with the ball with pace.

Well i hope for a Europa League place. Ballardini has inherited quite an attacking side but it seems he is trying to give us more solidity, hence we saw both Baronio and Brocchi in midfield. Defence will hopefully be more organised, but was dissapointed that we didn't buy anyone. Cruz is an ok signing but not sure he was all that necessary.

Re: SuperCoppa - Inter vs Lazio
Mourinho at it again
Lotito: Inter are sore losers!
Saturday 8 August, 2009
Lazio President Claudio Lotito is gloating over “sore losers” Inter and argues money isn’t everything in football.
The Biancocelesti were the underdogs going into the Italian Super Cup in Beijing, but lifted the trophy with a 2-1 victory.
“I am very satisfied with the performance of my team, especially as we sent an important message that means a lot to me,” said Lotito.
“Football can go back to basing itself on authentic values and not the concept that whoever spends the most automatically wins.”
The President was also furious when he heard that Jose Mourinho had said Inter deserved to win 3-1 and the official club website reported Francelino Matuzalem “blatantly” scored the opener with his hand.
“I heard some comments on the match that simply had no relation to reality. I think it is necessary that someone learns how not to be a sore loser.”
The replays from Matuzalem’s goal suggest the ball ricocheted in off his face after Julio Cesar had beaten away the first attempt.
“I consider this a victory of the team, which includes the medical staff and everyone who works at the club. Davide Ballardini was able to put the side out brilliantly.”
It is the Coach’s first trophy, as Delio Rossi parted company with the Biancocelesti this summer after lifting the Coppa Italia.
“Now Rossi is of the past and the team was in the hands of another Coach today. Our objective for this season is to compete on a par with everyone, even if we still need to make a few adjustments.”

I don't think he's injured. He was left out of the squad because of contractual issues.

The Inter coach made a controversial gesture following Saturday’s defeat in the Supercoppa Italiana. After having accused Chinese journalists of knowing little about the beautiful game, the Portuguese tactician gave away his medal to a passing fan, as he refused to accept second place.

mourinho will never learn... flair is anathema to him. He cant control it so he cant abide it. To become a truely great manager he must learn that complete control is never a good thing.

I don't think that gesture is as "controverial" as the press is making ot out to be... I think it was a nice gesture. A second place "medal" in supercoppa means nothing to Mou, and it shouldn't, but it would be very special for an Inter fan....

Nice gesture...and Mourinho...sounds unfamiliar!!! But anyway, apart from handling the medal, he has been stating all sorts of stupid things after the defeat to Lazio. The bugger is simply no class and has no dignity. He is one sore loser!

He always was a sore loser, nothing new about that... but that does not mean he is not a class act
