there are some rumours that Bayern will SACK van Gaal IF Bayern do NOT win against the Jews this Wednesday
personally
I do NOT see it
as long as Bayern are in (Bundesliga) contention, they will keep van Gaal until the winter break , when he will get the sack (UNLESS he can sort out his non-existant relationship with the players)
the problem is that Bayern do not have many options in the winter break
WHO could they hire for the LONG-TERM ?
I cannot think of ANYBODY , really
Sammer would be tempted, but would NOT accept because he has his mission for the U-Mannschaften and clearly loves the job
Schuster seems to be out of favour, and really, is rather stubborn himself
Loddar is now on the radar and could be a surprise choice but the move comes too early
Hoeness would have to be VERY desperate
all the top Germans have contracts
and Augenthaler is not a top German
the fans would love to have Effe in charge, but the boy does not even have coaching badges
Bayern have the players they need, now they have to find an EXPERIENCED hand to can steer them to the Bundesliga top
somebody who speaks GERMAN
Hiddink could do a Heynkes and SAVE the club until the end of the year
after that Bayern could regroup
since Hiddink will not find a decent job in the EPL this winter and since there is no point in managing Russia until the summer
he would be a dream come true for Hoeness
the Nederlander has said that he will NOT take on any other responsibilites before the end of the year
so the timing would be perfect, me thinks
the main question now is what the relationship between van Gaal and Hiddink is like
is there a real rivalry ?
in other words
is Hiddink pissed off by van Gaal's megalomania and would CHERISH showing the "Schreihals" how it's REALLY done ?
then
the Hiddink to Bayern deal is a dead-cert
