Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
That Bordeaux second goal at the end clearly epitomized what Bayern is like right now being managed by van Gaal. The players DO NOT know what the fuck they're doing.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
We have too many shit players and not a good mix at all. When Robben and Ribery play together, their quality masks our shortcomings. However, they haven't played in a while now, so we see the squad for what it really is - limited.
Like I said before, I disagree with some of van Gaal's decisions, but all-in-all, it's the squad that's the problem.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
Judging from the interview with a Dutch journo it sounds as if van Gaal has sort of closed the chapter of his reign in Munich already:
Instead, he dreams of coaching another national team.
http://www.ftd.de/sport/:bayern-muenchen-van-gaal-schreibt-champions-league-ab/50032231.html

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
van Quaal is finished
and he knows it
Bayern hired him to WIN the CL
IF he fails to reach the second round, it will be only the SECOND time that has happened
he will be UNTENABLE
THE MAIN problem is that the team has ZERO confidence
van Gaal's man-management is a FARCE
just like Klinsi, he makes players HATE and FEAR him
Laurent Blanc said after the game that Bayern had NO CONFIDENCE
Gernot Rohr, former Bordeaux coach, said BEFORE the game in Munich , that Bayern lacked dertermination and CONFIDENCE. he claimed that he no longer recognised the Bayern of old
Hitzfeld said the same and so it continues
when Olic says that he prefers to come on as a sub because the van Gaal pressure to convert a chance is too big, you know you are in trouble
Gomez once scored an equaliser in the first 45 minutes and entered the locker-room in chipper mood, only to get the van Gaal hair-dryer treatment, because , allegedly, he had been moving wrongly
then he benched Gomez
the STRIKERS are TERRIFIED to make a mistake
---------
this season Bayern's transfer spendings were in the top 5 in Europe, I think
they are now also negotiating a new contract with AUDI, worth between 100 and 200 million Europe
ie
the pressure to deliver will only increase
they will NOT sack van Gaal (during THIS season) as long as he looks like qualifying for the CL next season
chances are though, that Hiddink, Heynckes or Lothar will be in charge at Säbener STrasse next season
you heard it here first

Otto, you must have been ejaculating everywhere with joy and excitement last night (once you checked the results online?). God knows what you'll do when, one of those three, say, comes in (as if Loddar were an option ) and screws up. Of course if it's Hiddink you can blame him for being Dutch.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
I promise you one thing , allez
Hoeness is kicking himself that they let Heynckes go
HUGE mistake, and he knows it
Heynckes even admitted that he would have stayed on at Bayern (after his five or so interim games)
the Leverkusen man probably has a 2 year contract though and is the loyal kind
Hiddink is the NUMBER one contender to replace van Gaal
a) he's a big name manager
b) he speaks German
c) Russia will NOT qualify for the World Cup in the play-offs (yes, you heard it here first ) , and Hiddink will be on the market
the only thing why this might not work is that Hiddink prefers to work in the EPL, and Liverpool as well as ManCity are possible destinations
Hiddink is overrated as well, of course
but would still be better than van Gaal, who is demented as well as incompetent
Schuster seems to be out of the running
Dummenigge made a few stupid comments about him recently
IF the fans are MAJOR-league pissed off by the end of the season (and THAT is a possibility), Hoeness might have to make a PEACE OFFER
and THAT would be Lothar
wahre G
Bayern are running out of potential candidates and sooner rather than later Loddar will get the nod
also watch out for SAMMER
the only two management jobs that seem to interest him are the MANNSCHAFT and Bayern
+
he already lives in Munich and Beckenbauer is a BIG FAN
my DREAM would be Hiddink though
he would invariably fail and the MYTH of Dutch COACHES being competent AND entertaining would be FINISHED for the next 100 years

http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/champions-league/2009/11/04/bayern-legende-ottmar-hitzfeld/kritik-an-trainer-louis-van-gaal.html
he says Bayern were too defensive for a game they had to win
meanwhile, Sportbild reveals that the players are already IMITATING the Nederlander behind his back
seems, he is finally becoming a figure of fun in the lockerroom
from here on it's downhill, me thinks
Schalke and Leverkusen now follow in the Bundesliga
GOOD LUCK

Come on mate, your usual prejudices aside, you know perfectly well that Uli meant his "Greenkeeper" comment about Matthäus. The hate and contempt goes too deep, it's different than with Klinsmann (Jürgen is a much brighter guy than Lothar, as even you might privately admit). Even they aren't that desperate – yet.
As regards your Russian Mystic Otto-ism, how about a bet? Avatar-style – what happened to those? I'll think up something suitably juicy for you and you can do likewise for me

van Gaal losing the locker-room is getting even worse now

Well you can have whatever you want, of course, it's not like you're going to win, though I could do with some warning – we need a pre-agreement of some kind otherwise these things never happen. I'll be watching Schland and France/Ireland anyway of course...

The problem is.
GERMANS NEED TO BE MORE HUMBLE.
They got beat by the French champs, Bayern was and is anything but the German champs. Can happen!
But German arrogance + Louis van Gaal dont think like that.
I'm in Germany myself on friday, so I will teach them some humility!

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
Impressive stuff by Lahm in today's Sueddeutsche. It's easily the most intelligent, blunt and honest interview I read recently.
Lahm heavily criticizes Bayern's buying policy, saying that you can't just buy players who are good. Successful clubs first define a style of football and then buy players that fit into the system. At Bayern it's not like that. He mentions Robben, who was brought in because he is very good, but not because Bayern intended to change their system to a 4-3-3. On the other hand with Tymo another defensive mid was bought that they now no longer need in the new system.
Lahm also backs the coach who might have done two questionable transfers, but other than that sees what the team lacks. He goes on saying that he likes van Gaal's personality but he also knows that many don't get along with it. Some players obviously can't accept to be criticized in front of the whole team, but that's the only way for the team to get better.
http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/367/493712/text/
Kudos to Herr Lahm, for having the balls to speak out on the things that are broken at Bayen.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
VERY INTERESTING INTERVIEW indeed
DYNAMITE
he really SAVAGES Hoeness and Rummenigge
and is 100% right
you have the typical SUCKING UP to the CURRENT manager in charge as well
the teacher's pet will only gain in standing under van Gaal now
the question is how the players will react to this SUCKING UP INTERVIEW
note
INDIRECTLY, Lahm criticises quite a few of his players as well
I wonder what Schweini, Pranjic, Braafheid and all those MIMOSEN who don't like to get criticised make of this interview
and were Lahm's recent performances really any better than those of the other players ?!
the upside of the interview will be that vG gets some breathing space now; journalists will just refer to Lahm's defence of the Nederlander
also, vG might tone down his criticism somewhat , now that everybody knows the players have a problem with his harsh tones
Lahm is less intelligent than he likes to present himself as though
the problem is NOT that Bayern do not have a midfield player who can feed the front-line
the problem is that van Gaal NEVER practices the push to the front in training
the way Bayern play now, is 100% the way the team train at Säbener Strasse
FEAR of making a mistake then comes into it as well
but football in the final third is NEVER trained under van Gaal
that is 100% down to the Dutchie
my question is just to what extent Hoeness and RUmmenigge were informed of this interview
they must be FURIOUS

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
If the strategy of van gaal doesn't work next season you can call it a failure. if he goes out earlier you will never know if it could have been a success.
I'm afraid the fifth colonne of the club can't bear this long-term process. Football followers always think short term and short minded.
Hereby, i'm not saying van gaal will be successful. I'm not 100% convinced he can also work with arrived players. But then Germany could be a country his strategy might work for also arrived players.
If van gaal was the coach of a smaller ambitous club that would have given van gaal 100% freedom to work out his plan. It would have been a huge success in germany.
Van Gaal is 100% in love with the german life style. The friendlyness, the correctness, the grundlichkeit of the germans is what he adores.

Oooooh, Uli is so not amused about Lahm's interview.
"Giving an interview like that before such an important match wasn't a smart thing to do. I remember Bruno Labbadia doing the same and we know how that turned out."
WTF, does that mean? Is he going to sack Lahm?
Anyway, he will talk to him next week but Uli can assure Lahm he will regret to have given the interview.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
lahm has good reasons to be pissed (one of the reasons he stayed in munich was a possibility to win the cl, and now they are facked up in the group stages)
he had shóuld join barca, in his career bayern will not reach a cl final
i agree with his points
for example today, van gaal changed in the half time from 4-4-2 into 4-3-3, only because robben was on the field

As expected, Lahm gets a heavy fine for his interview. According to Bayern he is fined with an amount which has never been sanctioned by Bayern before.
Should be about €50.000.

Re: When will Bayern sack van Gaal ?
Hoeness gives vG
UNTIL XMAS
then the board will hold a meeting and discuss how to proceed
http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/fussball/bundesliga/vereine/bayern/2009/11/09/louis-van-gaal/frist-bis-weihnachten.html
does not sound good for the Nederlander
--------
can anybody please explain to me what Lahm tried to achieve with his astonishing attack on Hoeness and Rummenigge ?
he could easily have done it PRIVATELY, if he had wanted to address existing problems
going PUBLIC is what you do when you want to force the club to SELL you
but this will NOT happen until the end of the season anyway
the TIMING is bizarre
I know that the "Mitgliederversammlung" is in THREE WEEKS
club members will make Hoeness supervisory board president and celebrate the board's recent big deals with Audi...
since most MEMBERS are already questioning Hoeness' way of running the club, they will now have more ammunition to attack him
but could this really be the reason for Lahm's outburst ?
Lahm effectively accused the Bayern MIDFIELD of being USELESS
he question of intelligence of signing Robben, in view of the 442 Bayern had been playing and training previously
he also implied that van Gaal was making all sorts of mistakes, despite also praising the Nederlander
from one day to the next Lahm is isolated in the club and locker-room
WHY on earth did he do it ?
what am I missing ?

Well, without Robbery it sort of is rubbish
(Just kidding )
Lahm didn't call them useless, but not well-qualified or not suitable for the positions they are supposed to fulfil. And he's 100% spot on here.
And Lahm DID voice the criticism internally according to Roman Grill, but was ignored by the board obviously. And there are supposed to be several other players that share his sentiment as well, but are afraid to voice it publicly.
The vast majority of fans agrees with him as well.
