And it's funny because Florentino supposedly wants Valdano to take over if they "have" to sack Pellegrini but Valdano rejected that idea! He's no dummy...in another two months the club will be sacking his ass if he becomes manager!

Don't be such an idiot Jaime. Remember that it's Valdano - Florentino's close confidant and good friend. Florentino would wait at least 3 months until he sacked him

I hope the rumours linking Real to Mancini are not true... for sake of both the parties. Mancio is not the kind of manager Real fans want to see... He may get the focus on consistent results that you want, but Mancio's philosophy of football has its roots on a physical / strong defence & defensive midfield, and faster pace attacks. Some amount of creativity would be sacrificed, and he just doesn't agree with players like Raul...

Spalletti is a much better fit with Real... likes to play crazy attacking football, sacrificing some amount of prudence / consistency along the way....

I think any rumours of Madrid's next manager are just wild speculation at this point. I'm pretty sure Perez and Valdano haven't seriously considered sacking Pellegrini yet, despite what the press say and some of the fans' pressure.

Probably. But I think it's more of a means to scare Pellegrini, than it's an actual possiblity this early in the season.

I think Sid Lowe's theory is more plausible - that the press are putting all the pressure on Pellegrini to avoid any negative reactions to Florentino himself.

Pellegrini leaves Guti out of the squad and claims that the player is injured. But apparently just before that, Guti had given a press conference where he announced that he's ready to play

Not sure why Pellegrini is being such a pussy. Everybody expects him to drop Guti, so why not just say it outright that it's for disciplinary reasons

Yup, and it's absolutely the right decision as well. Pellegrini has got this one spot on. I hope he leaves him out indefinitely as well. I don't about the injury claims. On the official website it says he is left out through managers decision.

Sadly, none of the canteranos who have been training are in the matchday squad. Good thing, we really need to have Gago, Lass, and Diarra ALL in the matchday squad.
