Did he just compare Wilshere and Gibbs to Giggs and Scholes?

You can mention players it just diverts from the original arguement. Hell for Man Utd even you could say Wellbeck and fucking Drinkwater have played as much first team as Wilshere and Gibbs. Let along the rest from Evans to whoever.

Big signings are part of football and what many football fans look forward to. If you don't make them and you are successful then the fans and other people cannot say much. When you go 4+ years without winnings things and you still stick to a stubborn principle then you more than deserved to be criticised. FA youth cup isnt a big deal. Liverpool won it many times and they havent brought through anyone, these days most youngsters go on loan not play for the youth team.

Wenger knows he'll still have people like you defending him if he buys cheap, sells big and plays decent stuff no matter what happens results wise. Like the thread says if he had some balls and actually seriously wanted to win the cl or title he'd surely make a few big signings. How can you have 60+ mill to spend and have Alumunia as your number 1?

Amusingly, this is what a lot of people think about many comments defending Wenger as a 'great producer of young talent' etc. etc.
