Stick Bender in a team that creates 50 chances a game (like tonight) and I would guarantee you he would match Ibra's goal haul

It was right reaction - we clap because you are our legend, but we boo when you are on the pitch, because you are playing now for opposing team.Pierre Littbarski wrote:Henry is Arsenal's all time top scorer and a club "legend" - he gets greeted with a golf clap followed by pantomime boos !

Strange logic
The best player to have ever played for Arsenal does not deserve to be booed simply because he plays for a different team, especially as he left in amicable circumstances and still has the same popularity.

I wouldn't take issue with lighthearted booing. I would take issue that the booing was 3x louder than the cheer

2 away goals is good enough, can't see arsenal scoring two goals against us at the camp nou, Still puyol and pique are out which means milito and marquez (kas )
Uh. They only need to score 1.
come the fuck on jaime, my man, you know we are going to score at the camp nou.

English teams have your number (defensively at least) at the Camp Nou
English teams this, english teams that, blah, blah, blah.
You are assuming that Barcelona are certain to score (an opinion).
I am stating that your record at home against English teams in recent years isn't impressive (you can even throw in a 0-0 draw v Celtic too if you like). (A fact)
Facts
How many times have we failed to score against an english team, when we have the 2nd leg at home?
They can't come and close up shop like Chelsea and man utd, because they have to score to progress.
I not sure of our record once we have the 2nd leg at the camp nou, but i'm sure its pretty good.

You're better than this COTR.
Is it really
Several of us did point out early in the game that there was no way Ibra could continue to miss so many sitters. He surely had to take some of them at some stage.
The difference between tonight and his previous teams is that Barca create 4,000 chances a game for him.

Re: The Arsenal v FC Barcelona
So will you cheer for Torrard when they will play against Liverpool at Anfield? I am not talking about "we appreciate what you have done for us ovation" when announcer mentions their name, I am talking about them scoring a goal, or them executing a penalty kick, them diving or trying to make a referee change his decision? Will you really cheer for them, because they are Gerrard and Torres? Or you will boo them because they play for team you want to win against?COTR #6 wrote:stinger wrote:It was right reaction - we clap because you are our legend, but we boo when you are on the pitch, because you are playing now for opposing team.Pierre Littbarski wrote:Henry is Arsenal's all time top scorer and a club "legend" - he gets greeted with a golf clap followed by pantomime boos !

All this talk of messi being the best ever. Well i reckon i could look quite good playing next to xavi. El magnifico. I Hope everyone also now realises just how shit the arsenal fans at the emirates are. It was almost a home game for barca with the lack of noise from the home fans for the majority of the game. And a big lol on henrys big entrance. Gooners too busy trying to boo ibra, making it a farce . Big lolz innit

I wouldn't cheer or boo. I would sit there and watch. Why on earth would anyone boo them if they left on good terms ?

The worst part is that Barcelona fans hate Henry as well. His common nickname is "the mummy", and the fans are surely fuming at yet another inept performance. Given that French fans have recently taken it against him as well as loads of fans around the world because of his volleyball move against Ireland, it looks like Henry doesn't really have any fans left

Luckily for Ibrah, there's enough quality at Barca to compensate for his choking.

Another scabby late penalty for Arsenal I see, along with the ref booking and sending off Barca's two centrehalves to give Arsenal a slim chance in the second leg.
If I hear one more Arsenal fan complain about referees this season I am going to hunt them down and stab them in the eye. You've been warned.

Does anyone know how many chances ibra needed to score Tonight? Reminds me of my mate dave on the pull- he ll use the scatter gun approach with the ladies , he s not fussed. Except when he finally nails one or two in the same night, he thinks hes related to shaggy. Song should also be shot for defending that would make even walter samuel blush and then bundle someone to the floor instead

I don't think Walcott would have the same impact if he would start, but possibly he should replace Arshavin when Eboue was brought in.
I can bet that he will start at Camp Nou and he will have no impact whatsoever.

Probably missed about 4 chances in the first half, depends what you consider a good chance though. He deserves credit though.
I take it you're more like Gerd Muller on the pull?
