Inter have played on the edge of legality throughout the knock-out stages though, there was always a chance that they would get caught out at some point, and it just so happens that it was for one of the more trivial offences possible.

One of the annoying things is that this will escalate the cheating now. You can guarantee that players will exaggerate even more now to put the referee under more pressure.

It seems like almost every European match these days is being decided by the ref

Bayern - Lyon both legs - Lyon raped up the ass by two nothing red cards
Liverpool - Benfica - Liverpool raped up the ass by a nothing red card
United - Bayern - Very harsh red card to hand Bayern the tie
Inter - Barca - Inter bent over and butt raped by the ref

These are just the ridiculous red cards before you even start talking about goals from positions ten yards offside and rugby tackles in the penalty area going unpunished. Uefa should be focusing all of their efforts on this bullshit as it is totally ruined their highest profile matches.

Interestingly they are not afraid to give red cards, but you don't see that many pens given in the KO stages.

in fairness Motta was already on a yellow, a straight red for violent conduct was harsh but a second yellow for sexual harassment seems about right so it's the same result, he'd miss the final either way.

His reaction after the red card, and Busquets hilarious spit-take, means there's no chance the straight red will be rescinded.

Chivu booked for an awesome tackle

I think you sit there watching on your HD TV finding everything easy to complain about after the replays. I guarantee if you are a ref you won't find it so easy.

This will definitely end 0-0 or 1-0, some kind of frustrating inadequate result. So far it's the same old template followed by Man. Utd. and Chelsea in recent years, and we just can't break it down. Again. Sad Sad Sad

This shit is fucking wank! Now I know why I pay to see EPL matches, so much more PGD. Worst semi finals ever! Bring United back!

That Motta red card...well imo it will make Inter only stronger cause they will close the gaps even more now so it aint a game changing red card..but still a harsh one.
