Deulofeu scored two very good goals today for the spain U-17 team, one directly for a corner kick.

To temper your happiness, SPORT has a couple of articles about the outgoing players: Hleb will be told this week that he's not needed and will be sold, Henrique may be sent on loan again, Keirrison is still on loan at Fiorentina until the end of next season, negotiations to take place with Juve for Caceres, and........................the club will listen to offers for a loan or permanent sale for Botia.

Re: FC Barcelona - Campeones de España!
As most cules then I am against selling Toure but we have to realistic.
I dont want him in the squad if he is going to sulk about not being first choice.
Lets face it, he is probably not the best as a defensive midfielder for us since his passing is too poor but better as a box to box but Xavi is blocking that position, since he would have to play in the centre-right spot (Keita being left footed is much more useful on the left since he has to bring width, which is also where we are using a box to box midfielder). We need a defensive midfielder who can act as a backup playmaker and that is not Toure so that is why he is not automatic first choice. Busquets isnt that great either, but he is cheaper, and doesnt whine.
Now, if we start using a left sided playmaker from time to time, then Toure will be a great asset since he will own the box to box right midfield position! Maybe with either the Villa-Ibra-Messi with Iniesta-Toure-Busquets behind them then we will see him playing a more attacking role. (which would also allow us to rest Xavi from time to time).
But I cannot see the point of Cesc being his replacement. If he leaves then we either need a very good player that can take first choice spot such as Mascherano (but he is too expensive) or we should get a cheap defensive midfield backup such as a Poulsen (ie exchange for Caceres), Emana (who is in la segunda) or some French league player...
As for Cesc, then he is a luxury at the moment that I dont really understand from a footballing point of view, but I am sure that it is just a matter of politics and in any case I doubt we will sign him.

Agree with everything, but Yaya is far from a poor passer, can't find many if any Dmed who is better at passing the ball than him

I try to catch as many games as possible in the stadium and the truth is that he is often out of position or playing it straight back to the defenders. I would like to see somebody with a bit more ability to build up play, since we have the possession most of the time. If Xavi, Iniesta and Messi are marked out of the game, and Alves is having one of his days then it is essential that the Dmed participates in a more constructive way.

If we already decided to spend some money and to sell Toure, then we might as well go for Essien.

Sounds like Sporting will buy him for nothing but you'll keep a buy back clause for two years.

Sport says 3 years, with a 2-3 million euros buy back clause.
Txiki must be the worst negotiator in the world, we are basically paying them to keep him for a few years if he ever comes back.
We should sell him to them for some shit price like 1m and buy him back for the same price or 500,000 more.

@Hem Fet: welcome back
Interesting points about the balance of the team. I think Toure is not that bad in passing compared to Busquets, and both do have a tendency to give the ball away, but the difference is that Toure likes to take multiple touches, or dribble with the ball a bit before releasing it...whereas Busquets almost always releases it first time, taking just one touch. The latter makes a huge difference in our play, esp. if you're the DM that has just recovered the ball and are launching a counter attack.

Also, I have to say it's hilarious how Laporta and Rosell keep completely contradicting one another in the press.
Laporta - Villa cost 40m.
Rosell - I'm pretty sure Villa cost more than 40m.
****************
Laporta - Real Madrid wanted Villa three weeks ago.
Rosell - No they didn't, they want Silva.
****************
Laporta - Rosell is corrupt!
Rosell - No! The Brasilian government is corrupt!
***************
Rosell - Barcelona has over 400m euro of debt plus what Laporta spent on Villa!

This is how all elections tend to be.
I realise that Real Madrid fans probably wouldn't really understand what a fair, democratic election process is like
