Oh wait, Portugal probably don't count as a "good team" and/or this was not an "important game"?
    NEARLY DEAD

I have said it was but I almost always say afterwards that it is nearly dead and that is what I saw most of the time if you check. Or least that is my intent.

Nonetheless you are right that last night Tiki Taka did win because the goal came from some of all those short passes. I haven't seen if the goal was offside but it didn't look like it was but I didn't get a good replay.
I doubt Tiki Taka will win more games but so far you are winning.

    Happy Question Biggrin

Well as I told borocooper, I'm "winning" for now but I'm pretty certain you'll be proved right once Spain go out to Argentina Smile
    Very Happy
Why do you think im trying to seem generous here. Laugh

And fuck you with "go out to Argentina" allthough there does seem to be something strange about this Argentina team. They shouldn't be doing this well considering that they have basically just let their big names play and use players like Di Maria/Maxi as Cm's. Yikes
It defies logic yet Argentina has been doing pretty well so far. Germany should be able to expose them offensively allthough I don't know if their defence is organised enough. They will have to rely on pressing to defend them.

I think Argentina will be easier for Spain then Germany. Starting to become scared of Spain going all the way which is why I wanted them to meet Brazil early on. If Holland take out Brazil then it is open.

Well there's something about Argentina that all of us clearly aren't getting. Like you said, they're getting results and performing decently. Despite everyone bashing Maradona for supposedly crazy team selections and (lack of) tactics. Maybe it proves that sometimes football really is simple - pick 11 players you like, give a good speech, set a very basic framework for setpieces etc., and then just let them get on with it.

Who have they beat? Mexico game was a farce from the first goal and even the second was the Mexicans still furious over it. Apart from that they werent so impressive. Brazil look strong Argentina look their for the taking.

Perhaps so but they haven't really met that great teams so far. Logic says that a team like Spain and Germany should beat them. Your revenge theory, of which im a believer, says Argentina will win. Especially considering that last time around Argentina was the best playing team around and Germany ruined it. So far I would say Germany has been the most entertaining allthough not to extent that Argentina was in 06.

So this means Germany will take the lead and then take out Ozil whereafter Argentina will score which haunt Loew forever for bottling it. You heard it here first. <Ale>

If we talk specifically about Argentina-Germany, then for me that's a straight-up fight between two excellent attacks and two dodgy defenses. And I back Argentina's attack to do better than Germany's.

Agree, but I also can see Germany's defense (especially keeper when expected to do a big save) doing better than Argentina's.

Ronaldo was also forced to deny criticising Queiroz, after TV cameras caught him at full time saying: "How can I explain it [the defeat]? Ask that question of Carlos Queiroz."

I remember when Barca won the cl final he said the same thing about Ferguson. Blamed the tactics in public. Bit poor form from Cristiano you are becoming too selfish my boy.

Portugal should play him as centre forward, with the likes of Moutinho behind him to provide the creative spark and service. Play to his strengths, don't expect him to carry your team, when he expects the team to carry him.

    ...

I didn't see it that way. I saw it more like a " I'm pissed and dont feel like talking. Queiros is talking to the press right now, just go to him and leave me alone. "

Of course he didn't explain it that way and the press, who are since the qualifications searching for fuel to burn CQ spin it to their advantage. Like they did with Nani and Deco.

I don't like CQs tactics used in this WC, hated the qualification, am still pissed for being eliminated but i believe CQ should stay until the end of his contract.
This Selecção is going for a big renew and i do believe CQ is the best man (available) for that job. Many of our current players will be over 30 by the EC and it will be already hard enough replacing them, we do not need a clueless coach on top of it.
