I'll tell you why: Uruguay can beat Ghana, reasonable result, 50-50 match. Beating Ghana, they'll meet Holland or Brazil. If they meet Holland, they are out.
However
if they meet Brazil, they may win. Uruguay-Brazil is a clássico, the players feel it's a clássico, and in a clássico anything can happen.
Uruguay is often hard for Brazil. They beat us, a technically better team, in a world cup final in Maracanã, coming back from 0-1. And the 1970 players often say the hardest game in Mexico was the Uruguay game. Carlos Alberto said that was the only moment (during the game) when he thought Brazil was going out.
Then, after beating Brazil in a South American war, they may face Argentina, and then, again, anything can happen.
Ghana, ont eh other hand, are the only African team left. They are well organized and strong. In their case, they can only reach the final if they meet Holland.
