SSN reports fee agreed with LA Galaxy for Robbie Keane, im surprised no prem teams are in for him, he can still do a job and would be great for like QPR or Bolton.

Sandro is injured for next two months and Rodwell chances of being starting XI player are very slim. 2:0.
As Robbie Keane goes - I am pretty sure a few days ago I read that he wants to prove himself in Premier League and he's desperate to play. It looks like he's more desperate to collect fat paychecks, not that it does surprise me.

Robbie Keane's move to Liverpool was a terrible transfer, but from this, it looks as if Tottenham buying him back was possibly a worse move!

As long as we get Ruiz or someone of his ilk aswell I won't mind having Adebayor. He will score plenty in this league, and is a better target man than Crouch.
But Redknapp will (fingers crossed) be in for 4 strikers (assuming he loses on of Crouch or Pav), so I'd expect another to come with him.

Man City are going to pay about half his wages (he's on 160k), so he'll be on about 80K if rumours are to believed.
That's within the wage cap.
Even if it weren't, he's only on loan for a year (again, if rumours of the deal are correct) so he wouldn't be on that kind of money for very long.
Just shows the craziness of Man City's wage bill - I read Wayne Bridge is on 80k a year whilst eating my lunch and nearly fell off my chair. Speaking of Bridge, it appears a certain team from the North East who dress like Zebras every Saturday are in for him. Enrique to Bridge. Oh dear

We won't be in for Bridge. The southern media have been trying to link him with us all summer, and Peter Crouch. I will suck my balls off if we sign either one.
The french press think we have bid for Cissokho and Erik Pieters is looking most likely, he wants to come.

Suck your balls off if he signs for you as well because there isn't a cat in hells chance my good sir. It is funny how you follow what the French press say now rather than the English but that's what happens when you're a poor man's Arsenal (without the good football)

When you're buying a ligue 1 player the french press are always ahead of the British press, common sense.
And talking about good football, good football is what got the best out of the £35m man, we didn't have Carra hitting it long.

I can see why Puro likes you, you both inhibit a world where fractious geographical divisions is the base cause of everything. In this instance, the media are making up stories about Newcastle I suppose, because they hail from the North East and for that reason they want to poke fun and humiliate them by linking them to the likes of Bridge and Crouch?
If that's the case, then I've just seen Kranjcar being linked to Sunderland. You must be doing something wrong as a club if you're getting linked to Bridge and they're getting linked to Niko.
Incidentally, any club not trying to sign Kranjcar is making as big a mistake as not trying to sign N'Zogbia - both were / will be available for good money, I don't understand why the likes of Newcastle or even Liverpool haven't tried harder.
If Niko goes to Sunderland it'll be a feckin' waste. Come on Barcodes FFS

80k a year seems pretty low for a premiership footballer.

Hope to see a lot more of "Inside-out" play and poaching instinct from Lennon and Bale as the season progresses.
Defoe is a strange one - it's like he needs to score goals so that the rest of his game comes along (great inside forward play for the 1st and 5th goals)... all or nothing with him.

Re: Tottenham Hotspur 2011 / 2012
Agree. Lennon was superb. Yep it was only Hearts, but his decision making was first rate. That first time inside pass to Defoe for the second was arguably the pass of the match alongside Townsend's to Defoe (5th) and Huddlestone's dink to Bale (4th). Really pleasing. and Defoe, bar one or two selfish attempts at goal, played an excellent team game, held the ball up well and generally looked sharp. Will need him on song after last season's shambles upfront

Oh, and another stark reminder why we should not sell Niko Kranjcar. Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. If we lose Niko and keep Pienaar I don't think there will be too many happy Spurs fans with Harry.

Would soften the blow. Niko is a Modric-lite so we'd be in a weaker position but losing both would be a nightmare.
Latest news is Modric won't be playing tonight against Man United because his head isn't right.
Disappointing lack of professionalism given any move to Chelsea would not be jeopardised by playing such an important game. The equivalent of a sulk. Shame really given the very warm reception the fans gave him in the recent home friendly. His last parting gift should have been helping to end our Old Trafford hoo doo. Instead if he leaves which is now very likely, it won't be on good terms with the fans. Which it really should have been.

Exactly. And Obi Mikel played despite knowing his dad had been recently kidnapped FFS. And this little bitch can't play in one of the biggest games in the club's season. Imagine if he helped us win at OT - he could leave a hero. Even if we lost, Modric acting professionally until the end would mean he could come back to WHL anytime with his head held high. Instead, he's lost all respect of the fans now I'd wager. I certainly won't be welcoming him back with open arms.
This is all assuming we take 'Arry's comments at face value and Modric is simply injured, not sure 'Arry would lie or embellish the truth though given he has backed Modric so far throughout this to the media, calling him professional and a pleasure to work with etc.
It's a bit of a disgrace really. No doubt his slimy agent has got something to do with this - it's rare players act in this way without "professional advice". Can only hope Modric regains his senses and soon. Don't want to see him leave on bad terms with the club. Would be a great shame.

Before launching into the player, is it really Modric who has made the decision, or is it Harry to try and send a message to Levy to sell the player, or has it come from Levy to ensure there's no injury that might lessen the amount they get from Chelsea?

Re: Tottenham Hotspur 2011 / 2012
I just can't help being annoyed by Redknapp's verbal diarrhea in the media - why raise the prospect of us selling Modric for 3-4 players when we need to sell the extra bodies we already have ?
"Down to the bare bones"
It wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't contradicting himself the whole time. About 6-8 weeks ago he wouldn't sell Modric for £100million and that we would be a nothing club if we turned around and sold him, now he thinks we might be better off selling for about £30m and reinvesting.
Redknapp is a media whore who loves people thinking he is some sort of oracle, when he is actually a rent a quote chancer who owes us big time for raising his profile.
(Yeah we owe him, blah-blah, but this guy thinks he is bigger than the club ever since 2 points from 8 games etc - hence his disdain for the fans).
I've said it before - part of me cannot wait until he fucks off to England.
