No shame in that thinking. We were many of the La Liga followers who thought the exact same thing. Silva has also grown in imo at City.stinger wrote:Silva is amazing. And I thought he can struggle to adapt in Premier League

Penalty to QPR. David Luiz with a completely needless barge.
Converted, although there was a bit of a squabble over who would take it.

Maybe not Cazorla (who until the qualifying campaign this season, hadn't had the no. of appearances that he deserved to have). But David Silva-Cesc were always involved in Euro 2008 side & were stars of the tournament. Xabi was of course a starter & one of the players of the tournament in WC2010. Who set up the goal in finals of WC2010? I remember Fabregas coming on & changing the game. Almost won a penalty & hit the bar added to it. Also, likes of Silva, Fabregas operate 'between the lines' just as good as Iniesta IMO.
Spain vs russia in Euro 2008 is their most impressive performance I could remember. And the players who were MOTM that day to me were Silva, Fabregas followed by Iniesta. Let's cut the BS that it's Xaviniesta who carry this Spanish team alone. There are plenty of options & talents who had made the difference.

Drogba sent off - it's all happening this afternoon.
Fair decision though, two footed studs up challenge. Stupid of him.

And now Mata has been subbed off. Disastrous day for Chelsea so far, but it couldn't be much better for a City supporter.

Excellent performances from the Dutch players in the EPL! Shows again that you dont need to buy German players.
But what about Krul eh, if only United didnt splash all that money on de Gea. Infact is there a better keeper in the EPL then Krul?

Bernie Ecclestone believes that F1 would be better for spectators if they installed sprinklers to make every race a wet race. I think EPL games would be better if massive favorites for a tie had to play with 9 men. This is awesome!

QPR a definitely going down unless they can find a decent striker in January. Doesn't help that all their creators (apart from Barton) are individualists with shite descision making that negates the pace and skill they have in abundance.

That was a real scrap. Cole was lucky the final whistle went because he could have been sent off at the end there. That was a fun match to watch.

Balotelli can get away with it because he actually has a good footy Brain on him, and can genuinely become one of the best around.
Adel is wondefully gifted but only passes when he thinks a sexy through ball is on.

Man Utd striker Michael Owen on Twitter wrote:Tough to take today where nothing went right. Hard enough playing top sides with 11 men. Credit to City, they played well. Still wouldn't swap our squad for any other in the league. We will dust ourselves down and come back stronger. Lot to be said about the timing of certain fixtures too. First 10 games of the season we were in top form. Lately we have not been ourselves."
The man has no shame - acting like he's been a mainstay in the 1st team squad

how much credit does Mancini get for this? I wonder how many managers could have done worse with unlimited time and resources.
Man Utd getting thrashed at home should be a victory for humanity, but with this Manchester City team I just feel flaccid and confused. I read a worrying statistic this morning that 15% of the players who started games in the EPL on Saturday were on-loan from Man City. It's not true of course, but worrying none the less.
