Livermore and Sandro in a 442 is not a creative enough midfield.

Hope I'm proven wrong but I doubt it. The inability to best United will continue

Maybe pleasantly surprised, Spurs style of play is sometimes to open, If they can control the overall game a bit bitter it could help them get a result today.

    Christmas Glenn Hysén wrote:
Lampard missed a sitter to prove that AVB was wrong to leave him on the bench?

In Lampard's little brain, he already proved AVB was wrong to leave him out of the starting XI when he came on as a sub, wrestled the ball away from Mata to take the PK to win the game - Mata much like Ballack has a much higher PK conversion rate than Lampard, but Lampard designated himself the PK taker. Besides stealing the PK away from Mata, Lampard did fuck all in that game.

In another game, Mata sent an accurate cross to Lampard all he had to do was blow the mofo ball in towards goal. Lampard celebrated by himself kissing the Chelsea badge (such a fraud! lol! doesn't he know everyone KNOWS he's all about himself!) while Mata was mobbed by his teammates - Mata MADE the goal.

Lampard did everything he could to get AVB fired and he would miss the sitter intentionally if need be. That's the content of Lampard's character!

Moreover, he used his influence in the dressing room so that Drogba, Malouda, Cech, Ivanovic, A. Cole and Essien would not follow the game plan designed by AVB against West Brom.

Oddly enough and most probably! AVB and Chelsea would've beaten W. Brom had the Portuguese sent Romeu, Bertrand, Lukaku, Piazon, Hutchinson and even Turnbull to replace the backstabbing crew led by Lampard.

Adebayor goal ruled out. Looks like it was given for handball. Didn't really look deliberate, but it did help bring the ball under control.

Rooney gives Man Utd an undeserved lead in stoppage time. Poor defending from the corner from Walker (I think).

Think Walker or anyone marking close cannot stop a goal like that. Good corner 6 to 10 feet movement no one has a chance... The commentator has to blame someone Ale

    Ht 0-1.

Would be utterly gut wrenching if it wasn't so predictable.

United have been into our area once this half. And scored.

Meanwhile we do everything well, look nice, but don't score.

I wonder if I'll be alive the next time we manage to beat United. Because this game couldn't be better set up for us to break the hoodoo and yet we're once again trailing.

Adebayor handball right call, but sums up our luck against United as Saha would have scored if Ade wasn't standing on the line.

I'm also quite interested that we've conceded just 2 fouls in the 1st half, and yet one was a yellow card for Sandro. His first foul of the game. a minute after getting fouled by Rooney under similar circumstances. Who didn't get booked.

Rub of the green. We NEVER get it against this lot

Rooney doesn't get booked any more because he's a reformed character. The new hair seems to have matured him, or at least made referees unable to notice his various fouls, dives and abuse of officials (N.B., this does only seem to apply to English refs).

Walker was marking Rooney and not playing the ball you are already 2 yards behind play from a corner. Defenders need to play the ball the back 4 need to have the 6 yard box sorted front to back post the other players cover the penalty area.

Amazing how Carrick doesn't start for England. Just look at how he's dominating the middle of the pitch today.

Amazed Shola didn't take the pen - we're not doing that gay foreign thing where the player who wins it doesn't take are we ?!

Noah - we'd be all over Balotelli if he was English ? When I see an English forward with his ability we can discuss that.

Hernandez scores because of positional sense - he is not a more incisive finisher than Suarez, he just gets himself in positions where he can't miss. He is incapable of striking a ball properly (see Schalke away last season for the best example.)

People talk about the poor defending in the EPL this season - is this why players like Holt and Graham are in double figures ?

We do make up for it by being the best league for GK's:

    Vorm
    Hart
    Sssssschesney
    Krul
    De Vries

Can't believe one of the best keepers in the league sits on the bench for Wolves every week lol!
