Comedian Alan Davies....

Given he's managed to attack a number of clubs, wasn't sure in which thread this was best served, so giving him his own one.

I agree with him, I don't think clubs should pick and choose which days they play on. If they don't want to play on that date, forfeit the game.

The solution in this case would have been to play both semis on Saturday:

Spurs V Chelsea game could have been played in neutral venue in London,

Liverpool V Everton somewhere neutral up near where they are (Villa Park or OT)

Still think Davies is a solid nob head. Along with being an insensitive dickhead on the Hillsborough issue, calling Spurs a "vermin" "scum" club and making fun of the Tottenham riots. Wouldn't mind it from some raving Dutch queer like Fey, but when it's from a classless, long haired worzel gummidge lookalike who isn't even remotely funny, I take issue

Ah is that why it was fixtured like that. Seem to recall Luis bitching about both Chelsea and Liverpool being screwed over by the fixtures, when the reality is, as ever, it is Liverpool ruining things for everyone else.

I've listened to that podcast before, what astonishes me about that clip is that there was a full, uninterrupted 3 minutes where Alan Davies didn't appear to be being fellated by his co-presenters.

Think the tone he used was completely out of line for what he was discussing. Why should we play on the memorial service day? a day when the likes of Dalglish, someone deeply effected by the tragedy would have to think about a game of football rather than remembering the lost victims. If United didn't want to play on the anniversary of Munich then everyone should respect that as well. The memorial service is always attended by the whole Liverpool squad and rightly so. I think Davies was very insensitve, tried to make a joke out of it and came across as a complete bellend to be honest. His podcast is a bunch of grown men abusing and insulting football clubs and players. Football can go fuck itself on a day where we remember death of innocent people.

Remembering innocent people and playing football aren't mutually exclusive.

At the end of the day, if we're honest, he can always console himself in the knowledge that he supports the same club as Piers Morgan

It seems quite fashionable to have had a disaster. All the big clubs have had one. And Bradford.

I think we really need to engineer one of our own in order to finally break into the elite of English football.

Really there is a lack of sympathy for Liverpool fans, because of the way they push the issue and seemingly refuse to acknowledge the huge part their own kind played in it.

I actually have a dead brother, life goes on on the anniversary.

I am not on the wind up, thousands of fans turned up without tickets and forced their way in. Did that not happen?

I don't know about thousands.

There has to be police procedures to ensure that type of stuff doesn't happen, simple as that.

We still don't know the exact truth though, imagine the families not knowing the truth about their loved ones dying yet people like McKenzie appear on their tvs, a man who lied to sell papers.

Davies had no right to say we should play on that day, if we don't want to we won't do and people need to respect that.

If you play for Liverpool you need to know about what happened, that's the type of club we are. Are you effected by the World Wars or the Holocaust? Guess you need to forget them then.
