But playing in goal for barca is one of the most stressful and least rewarding position in football. Especially given the fact that the human mind finds it very difficulty to get over first impression.

But when we get a new keeper and he shits himself when he sees all his defenders banking up on the halfway line or players passing the ball to him as if they think he is an outfield player. He will get is recognition.

But still fuck him for coming out with this in the middle of the season.

    Uhhhh....Pepito Guardiola left! Biggrin

As much sh!t as I like to give VALDES SELECCION he is still the best goalkeeper you've had in the last 20 years all you have to do is look at the list who preceded him: Bonano, Hesp, Baia, Dutruel, Reina, Enke (RIP), Rustu, etc.

Capello told reporters: “Tactically the new benchmark is Barcelona, but if you try to copy the style it is a big mistake because you can only play that way with Barcelona players.”

Former England coach Capello did go on to say that while you cannot replicate the way the Catalan giants play in full, you can emulate some parts of their game.

He added: “But there are some aspects you can copy, the defensive style. When you lose the ball you go forward together to win back the ball quickly, never go back, never return to midfield.

“They lose the ball, they go forward. For me this is something new. But you need players with the talent of [Andres] Iniesta or [Lionel] Messi, because it is otherwise impossible to adapt this style of football.”

I give you Fernando Peyroteo, 331 goals in 187 appearances, gives a goal/games ratio of 1.77

Both messi and cronaldo are shite in comparison

17 assist already for iniesta, if my stats are right, hitting his peak, right at the time midfielders typically do, and he has achieved so much already, if he can stay relatively Injury free, play until around 32-34 and keep winning...

Just as stressful as having two banks of players protecting the goal while making millions of euros every year.

Them again even more stressful requires a lot more concentration

Just got some information on Godfrey Chitalu's record. It appears the Zambians did keep records of his record season after all and he scored a further nine in African Champions Cup which have not been counted! His real tally is 116!

The list was compiled from national archive of newspaper reports of Chitalus's phenomenal year in 1972. The original source material is still there. Given that they haven't counted Champion's Cup, perhaps Champion's League and European Cup goals should be removed from Messi's and Mueller's tallies.

I'm sure that Messi and Mueller terrorised some crap defences too. Not saying Chitalu is the best, but he scored the most and he should be recognised for what is plainly a superb achievement. To put it in context, Kalusha Bwalya played against Zambian and African defences and then played well in Europe. He never got close to Chitalu in Africa. Why not if is so easy to score so many in Africa? This is a special achievement and it should be recognised as such.

We need neymar to return the team to a balance state, that's the only way we will see the holy trinity back in midfield.

I have nothing against cesc, except the fact that I hate his guts, but dudes not a midfielder.

Sounds like he doesn't want to leave Brasil any time soon. Anyhow, you have Villa and Alexis so you could easily put Iniesta in midfield. The problem is starting with Pep and now Titordi they insist on finding a place for Cesc. Wouldn't matter if neymar was in the squad or not. Pedro is more likely to go to the bench before Cesc.

Yep that is indeed the problem, Tito even more so.

I am hoping all the hype that will come with neymar will force him Tito's hand, since a Pedro type player has to start
