I was saying that the 30 million to santos didn't include marketing rights just the registration. Another company had a contract for them (or some part of them) for at least another year, after which they would revert back to the player (Messiah didn't understand that your marketing rights belong to you, unless someone pays you for them, so after one year they wouldn't go to Barca they would go back to Neymar). So that meant that either Barca had to pay that company for them for only 1 year, or wait one year until they went back to Neymar then pay Neymar for them, so whichever way they would be paying for them. Anyway got bored with this so not following it anymore, therefore no idea if the 57 million eventually paid included the marketing rights or not, but it should not be allowed. One of the companies involved is making various noises about something they are not happy with.

In any case barca got fucked big time for a player that they don't need with only 1 year left on his contract.

Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi and his father are being investigated in Spain for allegedly defrauding the state of more than 4m euros (£3.4m).

If convicted, Messi could face up to six years in prison and a large fine, according to Spain's EFE news agency.
