Real Madrid CF 2012/13
As I've said before, I would be on board with bringing Heynckes. He's a top manager. Even if he's german.

I remember Benetiz owning him in the CL though.
Both Anchelotti and Heynckes would be excellent choices. Benitez is too similar to Mourinho.

Re: Real Madrid CF 2012/13
I gues I'll be the single defender of Team Benitez. His last two jobs of course haven't been great although I don't blame him for the Chelsea thing. But nonetheless he is a very smart manager and a tactical genius. I have high hopes that he would solve our defensive problems and we would certainly be better organised and a better pressing side. The big problem of course would be how he recoinciles his philosophy with Ronaldo. Beyond that I don't see any problems unless we don't get a new striker and as long as he doesn't get control of transfers.
For me of course Laudrup is the dream and then Heynckes/Benitez. Not too sure about Ancelotti anymore. He seems like he doesn't care anymore but this would be a big opportunity for him.

Re: Real Madrid CF 2012/13
I am surprised Super is on board with such a loser as Benitez. Ok he won a couple of league titles a decade ago and there was that one night in wherever it was (lucky bastard!) but since then he is a disaster.
I have mixed feelings about Ancelotti. On one hand he has a very good CV. But on the other hand, like Benitez, it's been a while since he did anything important. On the other hand, he is NOT Benitez. On the other hand he might want to keep Kaka.

He did the double in 09/10 - first time in Chelsea's history - Mou can't even claim that.
I like Ancelotti - kinda feel like he's always been undermined by the management wherever he goes though. And that may be a problem again at Real.

I'm in love with Laudrup. Also I'm pretty sure it is blasphemous to claim you're Laudrup. At least in my book.
Benitez is no loser. He has proven himself at both Valencia and Liverpool against clubs that had more than he did. For me is Cl title is still the most impressive in my lifetime. I think he fucked up at Inter and at the current Chelsea thing is not a team of his making, which is partly why he chose it. Unlike that Inter team this current side we have is not waning. Mourinho has made this a top side again but we aren't able to hold leads and defend as well as I wanted. Benitez was always better in this respect. And he was awesome in the Cl.Jaime wrote:I am surprised Super is on board with such a loser as Benitez. Yeah but Chelsea has basically been a Mourinho team for almost a decade now. It has just been rented how to amateurs who either tried to something new and failed(Villas-Boas,Scolari) or stuck with the old model and won(Hiddink, Ancelotti, Matteo).Romford Pele wrote:Jaime wrote:I am surprised Super is on board with such a loser as Benitez. Yeah but to be fair, how much time were these managers given? Ancelotti especially was a farce considering he won the double the previous season. And he only just missed out on the title the second season.

Squad for the match in Dortmund:
Porteros - Casillas, Diego López, Adán, Jesús
Defensas - Varane, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Coentrão, Albiol, Carvalho y Nacho
Centrocampistas - Xabi Alonso, Khedira, Özil, Kaká, Modric, Callejón, Di María y Casemiro
Delanteros - Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuaín y Morata
Surprised (but glad) that Modric has made it, it really looked like he would miss out from injury.

Re: Real Madrid CF 2012/13
Don't mistake me. I'm not holding it against Ancelotti that he won with another manager's team. I also don't dispute that managers haven't really gotten a real chance to change. But that is besides the point which is that Ancelotti's triump is partly down to Mourinho.Romford Pele wrote:Super Mourinho wrote:

I wasn't too impressed with him, mainly because I couldn't see what he is supposed to be good at. However it was his debut and it was a dificult match because it was obvious that everybody was focused on the Dortmund game. He is a non-Spaniard so he deserves more time me thinks.

Let it be noted that I prefered Martinez to a technical player a la Modric. I have no problems making exceptions and buying Spanish players when they are of the progressive type like Martinez. I love players who can get physical and bully the opposition and get away with it.
