I honestly don't think Rafa would come. He would rather sit around and wait for an English club than to come back to Spain.

Ok a question for the madridistas. Let's say this were the deal on the table:
PSG would give us Ancelotti and 100m for Ronaldo.
Would you agree to it?

Re: Real Madrid CF 2012/13
That is a tough one because I'm not sure I trust Ancelotti to build a new team with that money. Ronaldo has become very important to us because of the huge decline in our strikers but before that I was a bit sceptical about him because of his lack of defensive work and his bad influence on team spirit. However since then he has delivered for us when basically nobody has been playing well. I would say no.

Only a crazy person wouldn't but I'm not a madridista, you could get cavani and kun with that so Carlo can return to his favourite 4312 formation

Re: Real Madrid CF 2012/13
I am of two minds. I am not 100% convinced by Ancelotti and whilst we could by quite a few good players with the 100m I don't know that I want to completely reinvent the wheel. I think in principal I would prefer to stick with someone who would keep the basic framework of the 4-2-3-1 but with a better centre forward and no Khedira.
The only thing to counter argue is that while Ronaldo has become very important to us (f*ck without his goals we'd probably in Europa League next season), with two years left on his contract I'm also not 100% convinced that he is going to sign a new deal. And if he isn't then selling him now for that kind of money might be the only way to move on to a new chapter.

Imagine the total sum the club has to pay if they offer him €18m after tax, considering the ridiculously high taxes in France.
PSG can't possibly fulfill the FFP criteria. If Platini is actually worth his job, he has to do something about it, even if it is a club from his beloved France.

But you should take into account that currently, PSG's wage bill is only half that of City or Chelseas for example. So this proposal isn't as far fetched as it may seem upon first glance.

They guy complains to Platini about him not having the balls to take on Real Madrid with their debts, and Platini refuse to promise anything to do about it. Saying if the jews ever want to win the CL again, they have to get a better coach.

Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world. They can manager their debts. They have the moral right to spend the money they do as they have actuallyearned it. The Dutch League is too small to compete for European trophies nowadays, there isn't enough money in the league. That's not Real Madrids fault.
Go and complain about clubs like Chelsea and City who haven't earned any of their money.

I have no problem with the City's or he Chelsea's of this world. They are owned by an owner with private money. I dont care about that, it's HIS money. He should be able to do what he want with it. My problem is with the Valencia's of this world. Clubs that have massive loans with banks like Bankia, who need loans from the EU to stay alive. IE the Dutch taxpayer. Like you said, it shouldnt be our problem they dont have enough money

Interesting suggestion for the next Real Madrid manager. It's not a bad idea but it would probably end up like Pellegrini unfortunately. I think only a big name will satisfy Florentino.

No.
Quite apart from the technical qualities of Ronaldo and his impact on your team, the message that this kind of deal will send will be disheartening. If an upstart club flashes enough cash, everyone is for sale? RM are the biggest club in the world, and should sell ONLY if they think it is advantageous to them--not because of the money on the table. Let's face it, in theory you can afford Cavani and keep Ronaldo and make a sick team. Like you say, why reinvent the wheel?
As for Ancelotti--if he hadn't won the French league this season there would be serious doubts over him as a professional. He is a very good coach, one of my favourites, but that's because the memories I have of him as our coach. He needs players who read his system very well for him to be an effective coach. If Perez is looking for instant impact, it may be tough. For that, you can't get better than Mourinho. Ancelotti is not the best motivator, and he is often more a friend than a coach. I think Lippi would be better in terms of disposition to be honest.
Screw PSG.

So you think Man United shouldn't be able to spend any money until their debt (which is more than Madrids) is wiped out ?
You only seem to hate Spanish clubs, if if Madrid, Barca and Valencia went bankrupt tomorrow it wouldn't affect Dutch clubs. They would still be insignificant in Europe.

Of course anyone can answer! Well, maybe not worms.
I definitely see your point. My biggest concern is that Ronaldo is not going to renew his deal. It seems less likely every day. So from that standpoint, maybe our best option is to build a new team.

He's 28, not 29 until half way through next season. But it is a fair point. He'll be 30 when the current deal ends. Ronaldo would probably require any new deal to be 4 years? I think we've already seen what can happen to ageing stars. Ronaldo is an extraordinary physical specimen but time catches up with everyone. Zidane, Figo, Roberto Carlos were clearly not the same players that they once were when they got into their mid 30s. In this sense the we've already probably gotten Ronaldo's best years.

I think so. Ronaldo is quite flexible. It would be interesting to see how Ancelotti moulds Real, esp if you guys keep Modric. It could be a christmas tree formation .
It seems silly to actually say this, but I rate Ronaldo quite highly. I reckon he can play on till 32 at the highest level. He is fit, and has been relatively injury free his whole career, right? I think you should keep him, and tell PSG to gtfo.

Assuming I was the sportsdirector and I got that money.
In:
Cavani-50M
Borja Valero-15M
Matic-15M+/Javi Garcia-12M
All in all I don't think we need to get the money at all because when you consider those transfers just mentioned we have the money for it and otherwise we can sell some players who we don't need anyway so it doesn't quite make sense to sell Ronaldo except to build a more cohesive team which I wouldn't mind.
