Still, Moyes is a shite choice. SAF actually won stuff with Aberdeen when he came to us. What has Moyes done? 0 wins in 11 years @ Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man utd. After Utd broke Liverpool's record of league titles, Ferg's job was done and it was only a matter of time. Also he seemed exceptionally hacked off about being dumped out of CL this season, didn't look like a manager who had another season in him. Dave Whelan said on Five Live tonight that he's not well either.

I don't get why people are making conspiracy theories on why Fergie is leaving. Are you forgetting he is 71 years old ? How many other managers can you think of that are as old as him ?

didn't have to pay compensation to get him though & I bet he won't be on anything like as much as someone like Mourinho would demand, so I guess worth the risk of long contract & it's a show of faith.

It really is up for grabs now. Man Utd will inevitably be seen as being in the fight for 4th rather than the top 2, the psychological impact this will have on the way teams approach games will be huge.

I'm genuinely intrigued as to how it all works out.
