i know you see in him baggio, but come on, nice touches don`t make a good footballer

gomez will have a far bigger impact then this kid will ever make in world football

sure in terms of flair and potential, not so sure in terms of impact and end product. this

you dont know the real potential from gomez blue, playing for bayern is like playing against a wall, now for fiorentina he will have more space, because fiorentina is not huge favourite in every game, the opponent won`t hide, and they are not a possession side, i expect 25+ goals in every season

Stats rarely tell the whole story, mate. Jovetic is so much more than the goals, and his goal scoring is getting better with time. He is 23, and lets not forget that he lost a year due to injury, so he will most likely develop further. So yes, its also about future potential here, not just current ability. He is pretty much a player in the Baggio mold, though not as good. In World Cup 1990, Schillaci may have scored twice as many goals as Baggio, but anyone who saw those games will tell you which one of them was the great player.

Not saying that Gomez is any way less of a player than you describe. With the Viola midfield & wings, he will most likely score a lot of goals. Like Abundance mentioned, perhaps Viola need a player like Gomez more than a player like Jovetic. But the creative ability of scoring goals out of no where is very rare, and that will be missed. The magic will be missed. And the space he creates for is team mates because the opposition defenders are so wary of his magic, that will be missed.
