I'm thinking it's better if Blatter wins the up coming election. That way when the criminal charges come through its all on his watch and something will have to happen. Especially if those arrested do a deal and implicate Blatter. Thats the best chance of forcing some serious change at FIFA.

If this Jordanian Prince (ha) wins, blatter might still get time but FIFA remains a corrupt organisation where a Prince from a non footballing country can be it's president. They'll talk about reform but it'll most likely be cosmetic and he'll feel vindicated due to backing from UEFA.

This is how I feel, if this prince wins alot of people will act like that's problem solved, if Blatter wins the pressure will remain. I wonder if people would take the whole thing imploding if it meant the 2018 cup not happening, maybe alot of people would rather have corruption and not miss a cup.

People like McCain's only interest will be annoying Russia, but the investigation was going on before the 2018 and 2022 votes took place. It wasn't about football or FIFA at the start but money laundering in general.
